Montepulciano Tours, Tastings & Things to Do
Wondering what to do in Montepulciano? The town is one long climb with a wine cellar under every third door, so most of what is worth doing here involves a glass. Cellar tours and Vino Nobile tastings start at €25–€35, guided tastings with a sommelier or a small-producer tour run €50–€85, and a half-day 'wine lovers' experience with several estates costs €305. Cooking classes are the other pillar — pasta and tiramisu in a local kitchen from €65, a full class on a Tuscan farm €109–€176. Around those: guided walks of the old town with a tasting (€132–€135), truffle hunting in the oak woods (€240 with lunch), horseback rides through the vineyards (€80), e-bike tours of the Val d'Orcia (€159) and farm visits to meet the Cinta Senese pigs (€45–€58). Two days is enough for the town; a third takes you to Pienza and Montalcino. Compare every Montepulciano tour and tasting below by rating and price.
