Great host, very knowledgeable. The location of the vineyard was not ideal for the price and the eating arrangements were very different than the photos.
the tour of theb winery was interesting --however it was made unfortunate when the owner ( pointed out by the guide) took a group ( friends of his) on a private tour and talked so loudly that we were unable to hear our guide --the owner was completely oblivious to the fact that we were trying to listen intently to our guide ( his employee) the guide /waitress for the dinner then spent over 1/2 hour conversing with one table after dinner --making all of the other guests wait at the end of the night for dessert and the completion of the experience
We had a groups of eight people. Our experience was EXTRAORDINARY! Lunch was spectacular! Every dish was perfectly paired. Lastly, your manager, Alessandro, was perfect. He was friendly, knowledgeable, answered questions, and above all his passion for his work is so infectious, we bought 10 cases of wine. Thank you and you may use my review in marketing.
The event was called for a 5 pm start time and we were asked to arrive at 4 :45.we arrived on time but we had to wait until 5:30 for late arrives which was unfair.Additionally,the event was to be held in the vineyard but instead was held inside and each couple was at a separate table which did not allow any conversation, making the 4 hour event way too long.The food was good as was the wine.
We had an excellent time during this experience. The tour, the food and of course the wine were all excellent! Max, our hostess was very good at explaining the wine, the wine making process and even the growing techniques that we saw in use at the vineyard. The tasting room / Cafe was very comfortable with great art work. We particularly enjoyed reading the quotes on the walls. In our opinion you can't go wrong when booking this experience.
It was amazing! Mostly because it was an intimate tasting with just us. The wine was perfect and the food was delicious. Highly recommend!
Fantastic visit to Podere Casanova Winery. Our host and guide Sophia was very knowledgeable and we enjoyed learning about the wine making process and then tasting the lovely wines. We enjoyed a meal on the balcony overlooking the winery and the food was sensational. They really went out of their way to make us feel welcome and to make our visit memorable.
Had a wonderful meal at the Star Of Bengal in Whistable probably my 20th visit and never had a bad meal ,their Wednesday nights Special Banquet, tasty ,great portions and attentive service .Special mention to Aziz who always goes above and beyond ensuring your meal and choice is just perfect
