We stayed here for a tasting with Tuscan lunch. The location is really beautiful, with a breathtaking view of San Gimignano. The wine tasting was pleasant and well organized, and overall the experience has strengths. That said, considering the price of 64€ per person, the lunch did not live up to expectations. The appetizers included a platter of cold cuts and cheeses, good, but flanked by a second assortment decidedly less convincing: some preparations seemed unfresh and undervalued. Among these, croutons with beans and onion with an unbalanced flavor, pizzas heated with onion, very dry savory muffins and omelettes with peas without particular character. The first courses didn’t improve the overall impression: the tomato gruel was probably the worst I’ve ever eaten, practically chopped bread with very little tomato, without flavor or creaminess. The cheese and lemon dumplings were good, but rather banal and unmemorable. In summary, a lovely place and a pleasant wine tasting, but a gastronomic proposal that, especially in relation to the price, deserves greater care and quality.

La cucina, come il vino, resta sempre un’esperienza soggettiva e personale, e comprendiamo che non tutto possa essere apprezzato allo stesso modo da tutti. Ci teniamo però a precisare un aspetto per noi fondamentale: utilizziamo sempre ingredienti freschissimi e di stagione, selezionati con grande attenzione, e le nostre pizze e focacce vengono preparate espresse ogni mattina. Sul gusto possiamo accettare opinioni diverse, ma sulla freschezza e sulla qualità delle materie prime lavoriamo ogni giorno con il massimo impegno e con standard molto alti. La ringraziamo comunque per il suo feedback, che consideriamo sempre uno stimolo utile a migliorarci, e speriamo di poterla accogliere nuovamente in futuro per farle vivere un’esperienza ancora più in linea con le sue aspettative. We arrived almost 1 hour and a half early and we were very well received. They even offered us to start earlier. The fantastic wines, we tried 6 labels with detailed explanation of each. Adriano was extremely kind and friendly. The food an entry of colds that were very tasty and then a nhoque with crisp (very good) and a tomato paste. Nothing from the other world , I didn 't expect anything spectacular , but it was fair .
My wife and I had one of the great meals of our lives at the vineyard in September 2018: perfectly paired wines and food, a magnificent view up the hill to San Gimignano, and a stroll in the vineyard afterward. We absolutely loved it. When the estate offered to bring the dining experience to the U.S. earlier this month, we shared that experience with friends in an evening full of tastes, laughter, and new sensations. The instruction in meal prep, wine and oil tasting, and the joy of gathering created another great experience. We still order olive oil from the estate.
We have known the family for 12 years and have seen everything come into being. So when we visit every year it is always a warm greeting and exchange of how everyone is doing. Silvia, Luigi, Pietro and Corrado and also Vittoria and everyone else have built something wonderful. We are always treated to a delicious tasting of their wines of which we always have some in the Netherlands at home. This year we had another fantastic lunch. Adriano has helped us exquisitely by not only explaining the wine, but also in addition to the olive oil varieties new aceto-balsamic creations. The wine tasted good, the food with the cheese, the prosciuto and the pasta was delicious, with another dessert and an espresso. All this in the garden, under the umbrella on a sun-drenched day, overlooking the old San Gimignano over the vineyards. This was exactly a week ago when I wrote this at home. The farewell is always emotional and cordial, by now through his Pietro and Vittoria married yesterday and our order of wine and oil will be delivered tomorrow at home. A top company with lovely hardworking people, I can recommend a wine tasting (especially in the garden!) of La Marronaia to everyone!

Outstanding! Very relaxing enjoyable way to spend a few hours in San gimighnano. Staff couldn’t be more accommodating, knowledgeable and friendly. I highly recommend, you will not be disappointed.
Our waiter was very knowledgible and kind. The views and surroundings are absolutely beautiful. We had the Tuscan lunch which had great selection of EVOs, balsamico and wines.
For the price paid it was an experience that I would do again. Given that the place is really nice and attention to detail; a family-run farm that carries on passion and tradition. We booked a tasting with lunch with English guide (all employees speak fluently). 4 glasses of wine, various types of extra virgin olive oil and between different types of balsamic. Mixed platter as an appetizer and encore of Tuscan first courses. Our guide recommended the wines to pair with the dishes, also telling us the story behind each bottle. It would have been nice to know also some more characteristics of the wines, how it is processed, in short, get a little more specific. In general I highly recommend.
Nice location, views of San Gimignano. We were 20 minutes late after our train from Florence to San Gimignano was cancelled last minute. The staff wasn't engaging or welcoming. The wine was mediocre and the food tastings bland. Look for something with your time and money
What an incredible experience! Nestled amongst the rolling hills of Tuscany overlooking the vineyards and lavender, the location was perfect. Our server (I have forgotten his name, but he was very knowledgeable!) explained each wine to us together with the many olive oils. From the food to the oil to the wine - every bit a delectable experience. Would throughly recommend this place to anyone visiting the San Gimignano area.
