We had the most amazing experience hiking the one day inca trail with AB expeditions! And it wouldn’t have been the same without our incredible tour guide Maik! Gave us great advice, let us set the pace, very organized. It truly was a once in a lifetime experience. Following the hike we did a tour of Machu Picchu city and Maik gave us lots of informations and answered all our questions. He was also an exceptional photographer. Thank you Maik and AB expeditions team!
Super nice tour! We have a chance to walk inka ( Quechua ) traditional trail. Pace of hiking was well selected for the group so we only enjoy the tour without been exhausted. Great lunch arrangment on the way. And special kudos to our guide - Maik. Super cool vibe, very supportive , and answer all my random questions on the way 😇 Thank you!
Ingrid was very kind and affectionate. She accompanied us at all times. Very knowledgeable regarding the explanations. She is an excellent guide!!
We had the most incredible trip! Most to thank was our Guide Javier - probably the best you can find in Peru! So knowledgable, funny and just great company! Everything went smoothly, the vegetarian food prepared for us was delicious and the trek was fun and memorable. Big Thanks!!!!
It was an exceptional experience and worth every euro we spent on this tour. Especially happy with Alberto, our guide, who was unbeatable, both in his treatment and in his human and professional quality.
I know I can speak for my two travel mates (Australian) in saying we were very, very delighted with our experience to Machu Picchu. What made it so special was Jacob our guide. He was professional, knowledgeable, reliable and most importantly, relatable which made the entire experience very comfortable and relaxed. Jacob clearly has a love for guiding visitors. The overall service we received was well worth the extra money for going on a private tour. Our stop for lunch was incredible with the food fresh, varied and certainly plentiful. I was a bit slower going due to the altitude, but Jacob always encouraged me to take my time and as a result I felt good about my efforts and ability. When we reached Machu Picchu, Jacob took such amazing pictures of us. Honestly, that was so important to us! Jacob could be a pro photographer!!!! We had so much fun. I loved the idea that on the day of arrival (day 1 of the tour), we were not rushed into learning about the history, and we totally took the time to enjoy being in this magical moment of reaching Machu Picchu itself. The second day was perfect for taking our time to learn about the history, and Jacob certainly has an excellent knowledge and was able to answer our hundreds of questions. While in Agua Caliente, the restaurants that were part of our package were really impressive! Excellent food and service. Our hotel was simple but perfect for me. The only thing I would have cut out is the extra money for the “deluxe” train ride back. Honestly, the regular train cars were not that much different. In closing, I’d like to thank Jacob again for making this trip of a lifetime perfecto…Beate from Toronto.
Great guide who spoke excellent French (Giovanni), incredible experience. The meal was excellent and traditional. The beginning of the walk was a bit hard but the guide went at our pace. And the rest of the walk was magnificent and unforgettable 😍
Our Short Inca Trail was wonderful, full of surprises and a lot of energy from our guide Maik!. We were in a small group of 6 tourist in total, the team was almost tailored for us, we had a great experience showing our son (9yo) this ancestral civilisation. Birds, flowers, alpacas, siguayros, spiders filled our cameras with unforgettable pictures. Magical places like Winay Huayna and view of Machu Picchu from Intipunku my favorites.
Great experience with Jaime as our guide! He was kind, patient, honest, helpful and full of knowledge. Highly recommend!
Excellent 2-day Inca Trail with guides Jacob and Ingrid! They were on top of everything at all times, very, very helpful and patient! The journey speaks for itself.
