The trip was amazing! Our guides Edy (el Puma) and Rodi were the best guides we could imagine! They explained a lot, showed us Inca Sites and we could also laugh a lot with them. Even if you are slower then others or get sick, they take good care of you! Also the porters and the chef Daniel did an amazing job and helped us enjoy the trip to the fullest! The camp sites were really good too and everything was so well organized. I can only recommend this tour, the guides and the whole TreXperience Agency!
Our guides, Edy (the Puma) and Rody, did such an amazing job! They constantly motivated us, cheered us up, shared so many interesting facts, and we laughed a lot with them along the way. The porters are absolutely incredible, and what they do every single day is truly admirable. A huge shoutout also to our chef, Daniel, who cooked delicious meals for us every day. And the group itself was a 10/10!! I couldn’t recommend this experience enough. It was definitely the highlight of my entire Peru trip!
We did the Inca trail starting on 14th August and had an amazing experience thanks to our guides Edy (the puma!) and Rody! The views were absolutely incredible but what really made the experience was the passion which Edy & Rody showed for the history of the Incas and their country. The journey over 4 days to Machu Picchu became the most engaging history lesson ever, stopping at multiple Inca sites to explore their meaning with other stops to discuss the local culture, animals and plants. The trek was by no means easy, but this is where Edy and Rody shone again, allowing our group to naturally split where necessary into a slower and more experienced team, which would reconnect at lunch or final camp. I struggled with the altitude quite a bit, but the care and encouragement which Rody showed was amazing, with Edy providing medical assistance and reassurance when it was required later on as well. I couldn’t recommend Trexperience enough, we had a fantastic time.
Incredible value for money. Everything was so well organized and executed. We were well taken care of and the whole TreXperience team were fantastic especially tour leader Edy who was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive to all our needs. I would highly recommend you use this company for your hike on the Inca Trail.
I did the 4 day Inca trail in August 2026 and it truly was a fantastic experience for me. It was my first trail and my guide Renato was amazing. He was supportive but also kind, funny and super knowledgeable about the area and the history of the Incas. The entire team, including our Chef Lucio Santos, and our porters led by Head porter Juan Santa Cruz, contributed to making this trek as comfortable as possible, which allowed me to concentrate only on the trail and the views. 100% recommend!
Completed the 4 day Inca trail and it was the highlight of my South American trip by far. The team we had were amazing, Renato was our guide and he was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and made the experience that extra bit more fun and enjoyable. He even worked his magic to keep the rain away and just a sprinkle on the third day so we could have a little double rainbow. Juan Santa Cruz and his team of porters looked after us so well each day and Lucio Santos and his cooking team had us eating like royalty every day, not something I'm used to while camping and hiking. Highly recommend Trexperience and this team for this Machu Picchu hike!
We had 4 magical days. Our guide Alex was very knowledgeable, very thoughtful toward each of us, and constantly ensured that everything went as well as possible. His passion for his job and Quechua culture are very much appreciated. Thanks to his organizational skills, everything always went as well as possible. The head chef Ferdinand and his team prepared delicious and varied dishes for us. The most memorable part was undoubtedly the night hike on the 4th day and arriving at Machu Picchu at daybreak! We recommend these 4 days with TreXperience and with Alex (it is better to acclimate to the altitude in Cusco beforehand)
An unforgettable experience. Without a doubt, it is the best way to get to Machu Picchu. The guide, Tonny Montaña was a 10. Attentive at all times, flexible with unforeseen events, and positive throughout the entire experience. The food was spectacular every day. I recommend bringing warm clothing for the nights and renting the mattress and sleeping bag from them. It requires good physical preparation if you don't want to suffer!!
The hardest 4 day challenge of my life but the best support from the guides who provided masses of help and encouragement to keep us going. Camps were very basic but always set up and ready when we arrived and all the food was hot, tasty and incredible. Sleeping bags, mats and pillows were provided and transported from camp to camp by the most incredible team of porters who were up at dawn and worked so hard to make sure everything was whete it was supposed to be. Excellent organisation all round. Amazing staff. An experience to last a life time! Highly recommend.
The Inca Trail was demanding, challenging and exhilarating in equal measure! My husband (71) and I (62) took on the four-day trek with a group of 16 friends from our gym, raising money for a charity in Ghana - Akwaaba Volunteers. From start to finish, the Trexperience team were absolutely first class. Our lead guide and his two supporting guides were knowledgeable, attentive and incredibly professional. We genuinely would not have made it without them. They supported us in every way imaginable, showing tremendous understanding and empathy when things became tough, whether through a variety of altitude sickness symptoms, physical exhaustion, or those moments when you simply felt mentally defeated. We were also supported by an amazing team of 22 people, including the head chef, sous chef, toilet attendant and 19 porters. They carried our tents, camping equipment, food, and everything else we needed for the four days, including a personal bag for each of us. The care and hard work of the whole team were incredible. And the food deserves a special mention – we were amazed by what the chefs produced in such challenging conditions! When we finally reached Machu Picchu, our lead guide gave us a fascinating three-hour historical tour of the archaeological site. We then headed into town for a well-earned celebratory lunch before catching the train back to Cusco. The whole experience was absolutely amazing – first class and faultless. We cannot thank the Trexperience team enough for getting us to Machu Picchu and making such a challenging adventure so memorable. We would wholeheartedly recommend Trexperience to anyone considering the Inca Trail. They were exceptional!
