Amazing experience on Inca trail with AB

My travel partner and I booked with AB to do the classic 4 day Inca trail to Machu Picchu. Our tour guide, Edward, was excellent from start to finish. He is extremely knowledgeable about the wildlife, plants, and archeological sites. He is also caring, hilarious, and easy to be around. Our personal chef, Yuri, created amazing breakfast, lunch, and dinner for our entire trek. I was blown away by what he was able to cook at 13000 feet of elevation in a campsite. We also had 4 incredible porters who carried all of the supplies and camping equipment throughout the trail. The only mishap is that they provided 1 pair of walking sticks even though we ordered 2. However, they quickly provided a refund once we returned to Cuzco. Overall, AB provides a comprehensive service that allows you to just focus on the beauty and challenge of the trek itself. I would highly recommend this agency and please do not forget to tip the staff as they work extremely hard and deserve it!

Inka Trail with Richardo from AB

Meeting this team was a truly delightful experience. A total of 14 people (supporting just our group of seven) helped us successfully complete the wonderful journey that is the Inca Trail. Although we faced unfavorable weather during the first three days—and by "unfavorable," I mean we were soaked to the bone and encountered snow and blizzards at Dead Woman's Pass, with our hiking boots literally filled with water for over two days—our guide Richardo and the cooks (Moises and Santos) managed to lift our spirits and keep us in good humor. They made everything much easier and more enjoyable, effectively compensating for the harsh weather. My girlfriend and I actually considered quitting on the third day because we had no dry clothes left; she was exhausted and struggling with heart rate issues due to the altitude. However, Richardo handled the situation brilliantly and encouraged us enough to see the trek through to the end. The food was exceptional—far beyond our expectations. It was incredibly fresh and varied throughout the trip. We even got a cake on the final evening! An incredible team that put in a remarkable effort to ensure we had the best possible experience. Our utmost respect and congratulations to them.

Unpredictable Weather, Good Times

What a wild experience! The weather completely took us by surprise and we were hiking in the freezing cold/rain for two of our days. Luckily our experienced guides were able to take us to our destinations safely. The chefs and porters worked tirelessly to make sure we were taken care of despite all of the weather issues. We bonded with our group and ended the trip on a high with a beautiful sunny day at Machu Picchu. A note, I would not recommend this hike to novice hikers/campers or most children. Thank you Miguel and Elias! :)

Unforgettable hike, best of Peru

We hiked the Inca Trail from August 9th to 12th with the tour operator AB EXPERIENCE. We completed the trek in four days, which is very manageable. It is a fantastic hike, made all the more charming by the many sites along the way. We had a wonderful guide, Ricardo, who was passionate about sharing everything with us. It was also great to build a bond with the porters (led by Julian in our group), who carried almost everything for us. Because AB EXPERIENCE organizes tours in small groups (4–8 people), the atmosphere becomes increasingly close-knit—something we highly recommend! Before setting off on the Inca Trail, we had told ourselves not to expect too much from the food, but what Chef Moises and Sous-chef Santos conjured up for us was incredibly delicious and far exceeded all expectations. There was a wide variety of dishes served each day, ensuring everyone was well-fed. Our family would like to thank AB EXPERIENCE for this unforgettable experience!

Best trail experience ever

All 6 of us enjoyed the 3 day trail tremendously! Our guide Felipe was excellent. He added a lot of value to our Trip with his enthusiasm, knowledge, stories and love for his country. He was always eager to take our pictures. Nic, the chef, made 5 star food. We had up to 6 dishes every meal and it was beautifully presented and delicious. The coffee on top of Dead womans pass and when they woke us up in the mornings was a special treat! I will never forget the beautiful birthday cake Nic baked for me on the last night! So special. The packed lunches were very good. The porters were always friendly and helpful. Thanks to AB expeditions who made the 3 day option available to us. We had the best and most beautiful campsites in my opinion. The sleeping bags kept us warm enough every night. The distances we had to hike every day was not too much. Thank you for one of my best experiences ever!

A life changing experience!

I was recently on a trip with 5 other female friends. We did the 4 day Inca trail trip in 3 days. They were very accommodating to change the itinerary for us, although they have never done it in 3days before. Our tour guide, Felipe, was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable, funny, accommodating and made the experience personally memorable. Our chef, Nick, and sous chef, Felipe, made the most amazing and fresh food. We got a four course meal at breakfast, lunch and dinner. They even surprized us with freshly brewed coffee on Dead Women's pass. Best suprize ever. Then baked a cake for our friend's birthday on the second night, in the middle of nowhere! This trip would not have been this amazing without every porter carrying our clothes, tents, sleeping gear and always being friendly and polite to us on the trip. And off course our waiter, guide in training, Albino, that served us with a smile. The whole crew was just fantastic, even our breifing, pickup, traveling to and back from Machu Picchu was al very well organized and executed. The hike was not always easy, expecially with the altitude, but I enjoyed every minute. It was beautifull, filled with history and the most spectacular historical buildings along the way. Finishing with the most amazing Machu Picchu. Thank you to AB expeditions for making this hike possible for us.
