1. Who We Are

Excurgo.com is a travel experience discovery platform. We help travelers find tours, activities, and experiences worldwide. Tour listings come from Viator (a Tripadvisor company), and bookings are completed directly on Viator's platform. Excurgo is a Viator affiliate and earns a commission on bookings made through its links.

2. What Information We Collect

You can use Excurgo without an account. We collect:

• Preference cookies — your chosen language and currency, stored as small cookies on your device (exc_lang, exc_currency). These expire after 1 year.
• Account data (only if you create an account) — your email address, your name if you give it, and your password stored only as a one-way hash. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google instead of a password. We also store the tours you save to favourites and the tours you recently viewed, so you can see them in your profile.
• Email preferences — whether you agreed to receive emails about price drops and tour picks, and when. Price-drop emails are sent only if you opted in and confirmed your email address; every email has a one-click unsubscribe link.
• Usage data — pages visited and clicks on booking buttons (which tour and which button, without your name or account), collected with Google Analytics and our own server logs.

We do not collect payment information or booking details. All booking and payment information is handled directly by Viator.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To display tours and prices in your preferred language and currency.
• To remember your preferences between sessions.
• To run your account: sign-in, password reset, favourites and viewing history.
• To send price-drop emails and tour picks, only if you opted in.
• To improve the performance and usability of our platform.

4. Third-Party Services

When you click a tour on Excurgo and proceed to book, you are redirected to Viator.com. From that point, Viator's own Privacy Policy applies. We encourage you to review it at viator.com/legal/privacy.

Tour listings, prices, availability, and reviews shown on Excurgo are sourced from the Viator API. Review ratings are attributed to Viator and Tripadvisor as required.

5. Cookies

We use functional cookies (language, currency and, if you sign in, a session cookie) and Google Analytics cookies to understand how the site is used. We do not use advertising cookies. For more details, see our Cookie Policy.

6. Data Retention

Preference cookies are stored for up to 12 months and can be deleted at any time by clearing your browser cookies. Account data is kept while your account exists and deleted when you ask us to delete the account.

7. Your Rights

You can see and change your account data in your profile, turn off emails there or with the unsubscribe link in any email, and clear your viewing history. To delete your account and everything linked to it (favourites, history, email preferences), email support@excurgo.com from the address you registered with — we delete it within 30 days and confirm by email. You can also ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you at the same address.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
