Whisky Tastings in Edinburgh — FAQ
Where can you taste whisky in Edinburgh?
The Scotch Whisky Experience by the Castle, the city’s whisky bars and the Holyrood and Johnnie Walker venues all offer tutored tastings, while tours reach Highland distilleries.
What is the difference between Scotch whisky regions?
Scotland’s whisky regions each have a style — smoky Islay, light Lowland, fruity Speyside, robust Highland and coastal Campbeltown; a tasting compares them side by side.
Are Edinburgh whisky tastings worth it?
Yes — a tutored tasting is a fun, educational way to learn how to nose and enjoy single malts and blends, and to find the styles you like, in the home of Scotch.
