Departing from Clover Pass Resort aboard our comfortable enclosed vessel, you'll cruise the protected waterways of the Inside Passage in search of whales, bald eagles, harbor seals, sea lions, porpoises, and other wildlife. As you travel through Southeast Alaska's stunning coastal landscapes, enjoy captivating stories from local Alaskans sharing tales of wildlife encounters, commercial fishing adventures, local legends, and life in the Last Frontier. Itinerary
After your initial coach ride to Clover Pass Resort, the remainder of the tour occurs on board a boat, exploring Clover Passage and nearby islands. The tour occurs aboard a boat.
You will be picked up and transported to Clover Pass Resort via van or coach and your driver will highlight all sights along the way.

Ward Cove ships: Meet your guide at the Ward Cove Welcome Center 15 minutes before departure. Tour departs from Ward Cove. All other ships: Meet at “The Rock” statue next to the Ketchikan Visitors Bureau, Dock 2, downtown Ketchikan, 15 minutes prior to departure.

The Tales and Tides tour was incredibly entertaining and informational. Both the guide and the captain made sure to share interesting stories and fun facts about the area, the locals, and the wild animals. They went above and beyond with feeding eagles so that they could soar right over the boat! I definitely recommend booking with them!

Boat was enclosed with outside viewing. Trevin took care to get the eagles moving and we got some spectacular shots. Captain Nate kept us out of the choppy waters. We did not see any whales, but we enjoyed the cruise around and learning about the islands and the native communities.

A.J. was an excellent guide. He offered lots of personal experiences and history of Ketchikan and the surrounding area. The captain took us to an area where we observed stellar seals and humpback whales. We also saw an abundance of bald eagles. I would highly recommend this excursion.

Guide, AJ, was great telling stories of his and other associates from before “fixed rules” came to the region. Wildlife was less exciting with only a few eagles and seals present.

We saw a mom and baby hump back wale breaching the water, seals, and lots of eagles. Our guide shared wonderful stories of his time in Alaska. It was a fun excursion!
