Kathlyn was such a gift. We had an amazing experience, she made sure we will see bears, very friendly and patient, she had everything in the vehicle including a charger, snacks, water bottles. First time we couldn’t see the bears so she kept on coming back until we were able to see some. We had a great day in Ketchikan, she is very knowledgeable. She we also saw eagles, Salmon. 5/5!!
Pam was our guide and she had a great conversational tone loaded with local information. She worked hard to find us some bear sightings as well as an unexpected whale sighting.
Wonderful tour with Kaitlin. She is very knowledgeable and enjoyed her insights on Ketchikan. We did not see any bears but not for the lack of trying. They were shy that day. Went to a local beach , saw the salmon run and beautiful waterfalls. Highly recommend
Drove around in a van in one neighbor of this small town looking for wildlife in people’s yards. Way too much money for what it was. I assumed the guide would take us outside of the town. Also they had a wrong location as a meeting point listed. I ended up getting a taxi that costed me 70$ to take me to the listed location. There was nothing there, so we came back and started texting the contact person and figured it out. I called the operator of Viator and they also told me the wrong location. It was a total waist of time and money. The lady that drove us around town was very nice, but it wasn’t really a tour. I have traveled around the world and have been on many tours and this was just weird. Definitely not worth it and the title is very deceiving
Pam was our guide and was amazing! We would recommend this tour to everyone. We saw several bears, which was the highlight of our day.
We had a wonderful experience with our guide/driver Jody. We were the only ones who booked today so the two of us had a private tour. Jody was so informative and friendly. We learned so much. I would definitely recommend this tour company and guide. An excellent afternoon!
Our guide, Pam, was very knowledgeable of the area since she grew up there. Provided interesting information about the area. She tried very hard for us to see a bear with many drive backs to popular areas. Took us to the beach when the tide was out and was able to see many star fish. Saw a lot bald eagles on the trip.
It was raining and we didn’t see any bears but definitely not for lack of trying. Our guide tried for an extra hour but they were elusive. We didn’t see the salmon running my and the Bald Eagles. In the end, we had an unusual bear encounter that made it fun.
I was disappointed because the description leads you to believe that it was a waterfall tour. There is only 1 waterfall on the island that is accessible by vehicle. There is no hiking. We did search for bear. The tour guide was very friendly.
This tour is made for all mobility. The description does say one waterfall on the side of the road. We also do not advertise as a hiking tour.
We Loved having a native born tour guide. Pam was so awesome and found us a few bear sightings plus an up close visit. She had great stories about growing up here she had vast knowledge of all the wildlife. Love Aunt Pam!
