Description
Although we are the original whale-watching company in Juneau (operating since 1994), we are still small and family-owned and operated! We want you to feel like part of the family, and we pride ourselves on prioritizing local hires in order to give back to our community and give you the best possible tour experience. We want our guides to love Juneau as much as you do! This tour offers an additional hour at the Mendenhall Glacier Recreation Area. This gives you an hour and forty-five minutes to two hours to look at salmon, visit the Visitor's Center, and make the hike to Nugget Falls! Our fleet consists of only mammal-friendly jet boats, and the small size and intimate setting will make you feel right at home with the whales. We pride ourselves on our quick transfers between vehicles! We don't want you to wait any longer than you absolutely have to!

Itinerary
Drive through the city of Juneau on a guided bus ride.
Take an easy hike out to Nugget Falls to really immerse yourself in our rainforest! It takes most people about 45 minutes round trip, but if you are a slower hiker, or you want to stop and take pictures, this is the tour for you!
Stop by the Mendenhall Glacier Visitors center to learn more about the stunning glacier!
Hop on one of our mammal friendly jet boats to go find some whales! Leaving from Auke Bay Harbor, our expirienced captains will use their local knowledge to show you the most exciting whales out there!

Was fantastic - all aspects were done professionally along with fun. Saw lots of whales, our captain and naturalist were great. Lived that we had an option to come back early from Mudenhall Glacier and Nugget Falls. Highly recommend Viator
The whale watching boat is small and very nice. We saw a pod of whales very close. Captain simon and naturalist savannah told us all about whales, showed is a baleen and when my kid asked about sea lions, they took is to a place with sealions. She even pointed out a porpoise to us as we asked about it. I highly recommend this tour. We had a great time.
We saw so many humpbacks and some swam up very close to our boat! The glacier was beautiful! It was a wonderful experience! It was a fantastic tour and so glad we did it!
We saw more whales than I could count. It was awesome. They came up right near our boat while feeding. The hike to Nugget Falls was easy. Less than a mile. Some in our group saw a black bear. The view of Mendenhall Glacier was also amazing. Strongly recommend this tour.
CJ, Libbie, and the whole Dolphin Jet crew were amazing! Wonderful mountain views, whales everywhere. Staff was super helpful and knowledgeable, snacks were perfect for the boat ride, and we had an amazing time. Totally worth it!

An absolutely brilliant whale watching trip. Saw lots of whales all around us including a baby one who enjoyed leaping into the air, really putting a show on for us. The commentary was comprehensive and well delivered and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The trip included refreshments and a surprise goodies bag. The waterfall was well worth the walk which wasn’t far and mostly level. Thoroughly enjoyed it all
Our family of six had a wonderful time, especially whale watching. Our boat captain on Raven’s Journey knew exactly where to take us to see lots of humpback whales feeding. Our naturalist, Savanna, was very knowledgeable about the whales. We recommend this tour.
We saw 20+ whales bubbling and feeding!!! The captain knew exactly where to put us, they were within 30 feet of the boat! We have been on 3 whale excursions every the years and this was by far the best one!
Had a great time. Whales were very active., You walk on your own to the glacier and Nugget fFalls. Drivers were all very knowledgeable and thr Natuaralist on board thr whale watch was also very informative. Highly recommend.
