We start the tour by following the gorgeous South Fork Eagle River, pausing to observe the ice-dam formations created by frigid-cold and fast-moving water. Ice crystals appear to grow from the surface of the water, slowing and raising the water level in terrific ways. Just minutes later, we arrive at the base of the magical 25-foot waterfall where you see shimmering icicles, fascinating ice bridges and falling water frozen-in-time. After stocking up a store of photos to show your friends and family, we embark on a short nature walk. You will see the stunning vegetation living within our diverse boreal forests. Towering species such as white spruces, paper birches, and aspens drape the frozen ground below. We will explain the intriguing biological mysteries happening within the lichen, mosses, and trees that surround us. We could also see local wildlife, such as: moose, hare, rodents, and birds. Really unique experience and not too strenuous so appropriate for all ages. We really appreciated the central pickup location and amount of time for the broad range of family member needs. Todd was excellent as a guide!
My wife and I joined the Winter Waterfall Walk, and it was a wonderful experience. Our guide, Matt, was friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable. He provided snowshoes for us and made sure everyone felt comfortable and safe on the trail. The hike through the snowy forest was beautiful, and seeing Barbara Falls partially frozen in winter was truly special. Along the way, Matt shared interesting information about the different plants in the area, which made the hike both educational and enjoyable. Overall, it was a fun and memorable winter adventure, and we highly recommend this tour.

A wonderful fun walk. We got taken deep into thw woods and our guide spoke about all the nature in the area! She was fantastic. Only complaint was a small mix up in the booking. But it was quickly resolved and we had a blast!

10/10 experience! I was so fortunate for Matthew to be the most excellent guide. He was so knowledgeable and gave me the best guided hike I’ve been on! The winter wonderland adventure was so picturesque and all I kept saying was WOW! The hike was a bit challenging, as I have some injuries I’m rehabbing, but I was a champ thru it! We stopped when I needed a mini break and most of those stops were another picture taking moment!
Matt was a wonderful guide! Very knowledgeable and professional. He even brought snow shoes for the hike and hot tea for afterward. Can’t wait to go on more of his tours. The scenery was stunning!
