Description
For this Trip you need to be physically fitness and mentally well prepare. Some days you need to walk 8 to 9 hours, which is more than average walking in a day. It could do just Camping organize trip last three years ago but there is basic Teahouse entire trip now a days.
Mostly, you will stay in Lodge and have food same place (Dhal Bhat=main Nepali food, Fried rice, Bread, Boiled and fried eggs, Potato, Noodles, porridge, tea coffee tec.) But if you have added some days you may visit the Tsum Valley area also, this is a homestay trip (where you can have the food there at someone's house and provide accommodation). If you have time, I would like to recommend you Tsum Valley too; which is itself a restricted area and open since 2007. This trip is a combination of culture and religion, which is a unique trip among numbers trekking trails of Nepal.

Best trek ever!
I booked a guided Manaslu Circuit Trek as a solo traveler, and the entire experience exceeded my expectations. The agent Karna was extremely kind, professional, and responsive throughout the planning process. They were very flexible and willing to tailor the itinerary perfectly to my preferences, making several adjustments before the trip started.
The guide provided was outstanding — not only highly professional, but also incredibly knowledgeable about the trail, local culture, and trekking conditions. Along the way, he gave excellent recommendations that helped optimize the hikes and made the overall experience even more enjoyable.
Everything was well organized from start to finish, and I always felt supported during the trek. Overall, it was a very positive experience, and I would highly recommend Nepal Mother House to anyone considering the Manaslu Circuit Trek.

Hello Marko,
Namaste from Nepal, and big thanks for sharing your great experience of the Manaslu Circuit Trek with Serang Gompa.
As a solo traveler exploring one of the most isolated and unique Himalayan trekking locations of Nepal, we are extremely humbled to learn that your adventure has exceeded your expectations. Thank you so much for trusting Nepal Mother House Treks and allowing us a chance to be part of your journey to the lovely Manaslu region.
Thank you very much for your kind thoughts on the planning process. We always feel that each trekker is different, and designing a flexible personalized itinerary is one of the most crucial parts of providing a meaningful trekking experience in Nepal. We were happy to adapt the route to your interests and travel style so that you could completely enjoy the beauty, culture, and tranquil solitude of the Manaslu Circuit.
We are extremely glad to read your great comments regarding your guide, Kisim Thapa Magar. He is a very devoted trekking guide with a profound understanding of the Himalayas, local Tibetan-influenced culture, mountain safety, and hidden trail adventures. We will be pleased to pass your praises on to him – your appreciation will make him very happy and driven.
The Manaslu Circuit walk with an excursion to Serang Gompa is undoubtedly one of the most fulfilling trekking adventures in Nepal, with pristine mountain scenery, traditional villages, Buddhist monasteries,s and real Himalayan culture remote from busy hiking paths. We are glad that you could live these exceptional moments and make unforgettable memories throughout your solo hiking expedition.
Thank you again for your recommendation and for taking the time to write such a meaningful review. People like you keep us motivated to provide honest, professional, and personalized trekking experiences in Nepal.
We do hope to have you back again in the future for another Himalayan experience, maybe the Everest Base Camp Trek, the Annapurna Circuit Trek, Nar Phu Valley Trek, or even Upper Mustang.
Until then, we wish you many more great journeys to be had.
Kind regards,
Karna Rana

Manaslu Circuit Trek and Side Trips March 2026
My partner and I booked the Manaslu Circuit trek with side trips for this March 2026. It was amazingly organised by Mother House Treks and Karna Rana. He was very responsive and answered all of our questions (even some of the stupid ones!).
Our guide (Sabut) and porter (Suman) were amazing throughout the whole trip. Their breadth of knowledge and experience of the region was great to have and made the trip unforgettable for both of us. Sabut especially was very flexible with the itinerary during the trip with our sore bodies and with the weather being tricky for Larke Pass, we managed to shift a few things around and have half days of hiking here and there to accommodate. Suman was also great with carrying the majority of the weight of our packs and preparing the nightly fruits for dessert!
Everyone with Motherhouse Treks made the trip an authentic immersion into the Tibetan culture of the Manaslu region. Couldn't have asked for a better and safer trip in Nepal.

Hello Matthew Ferrier,
Thanks a lot for your nice and useful review. Hey. It's great to hear that you both had a great time on your Manaslu Circuit Trek in March 2026 and on the other trips you took.
We were very glad that you liked how we set things up and that we talked to you before your vacation. We often remark that no inquiry is too little because the most important thing for safe and fun travel in the Himalayas is to be honest and open with each other. We're happy we could help you from the start.
Thanks a lot for saying wonderful things about Suman and Sabut. Sabut can change the plan and make things more fun when things go wrong, such when the weather is bad at Larke Pass or when people are too tired. This makes it easy to travel. If you are hiking in high places like Manaslu, you should be ready to change your plans. We're happy he was able to hold up a solid pace and have excellent days.
Suman's energy, stamina, and attention to detail, such carrying your baggage and even making you fresh food after long hikes, make a big difference. We are quite satisfied with how hard and pleasant our employees are.
You did an excellent job at explaining what life is really like in the Manaslu area. We're glad to hear that you really felt like you were on vacation. There are a lot of Tibetan-style people, monasteries, and civilizations that live in the mountains around here.
Thanks again for letting Nepal Mother House Treks & Expedition manage your vacation. Your review could help people who want to find a trekking company in Nepal that is safe, flexible, and knows what they're doing.
We wish to take you back to the Himalayas for another amazing holiday, maybe to Annapurna, Everest, or one of Nepal's less well-known and less visited places.
On behalf of the Karna Rana and Nepal Mother House Treks Family, we want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Tsum Valley & Manaslu (18d)
I asked Nepal Mother for an 18-day trek combining the Tsum Valley and the Manaslu tour.
Here's my feedback:
Organization (Karna): From the preparation phase, Karna was very responsive. He listened to my expectations and his professionalism and kindness greatly facilitate logistics this type of expedition. The frame is reliable from start to finish.
The Guide (Kisim): Leaving with Kisim is a guarantee of serenity. With 25 years of experience, he has a millimetred knowledge of the region. Beyond the safety aspect, he is extremely attentive to daily well-being and adapts the pace according to the terrain and fitness. An authentic immersion in the local culture through its exchanges.
In summary: A serious and human agency that I highly recommend for a colorful and safe experience in Nepal.

Hi Alexandre,
Namaste and thank you very much for your kind and inspiring review of your 18-day Tsum Valley and Manaslu Trek with Nepal Mother House Treks & Expedition. Thank you so much for choosing to go alone in such a remote section of the Himalayas and trusting our staff to aid you along the route.
We are very glad to hear that everything went smoothly, reliably, and in a well-organized way from the early planning phases to the last days of your adventure. Thank you very much for saying kind things about how well we talked and got ready. We constantly attempt to pay close attention, figure out what each tourist wants, and make sure their voyage is safe and meaningful.
It's very useful that you praised guide Kisim. We are really happy of how calm he is, how much he knows about the Manaslu and Tsum Valley areas, and how he can modify the speed to meet each trekker. He has lived in the Himalayas for almost 25 years. It's fantastic to hear that you felt comfortable and connected to the culture when you were there. This is what makes trekking in Nepal so unique.
The Tsum Valley and Manaslu area are special because they feature a lot of untouched landscape, old monasteries, and a culture that is heavily inspired by Tibet. We're glad that your vacation showed off how beautiful the mountains are and how friendly the people who live there are.
Once again, thank you for your kind remarks and for seeing Nepal Mother House Treks as a trekking organization that puts people first. Your remarks will undoubtedly give anyone who want to travel to Nepal, especially those who are going alone, the confidence to do so.
We would love to have you come back to the Himalayas again in the future.
With best wishes,
Karna Rana

“Why Great Guides Matter Most When the Mountains Say ‘No’”
Highly recommended! Communication with Karna was excellent; he customized our Manaslu–Tsum Valley trek perfectly to our wishes, with plenty of acclimatization and rest days.
A huge thank you to our guide Pratap—always patient, kind, and highly competent. He stepped in at the last minute after becoming a proud father just 15 days earlier, and still joined us for a 23-day trek. Calm, cheerful, and quietly efficient, Pratap handled everything smoothly. When I badly sprained my ankle on day one—and again during five days of nonstop typhoon rain—he found smart solutions. On top of that, extreme weather caused landslides and unexpectedly large amounts of snow at higher elevations. Pratap consistently came up with smart, safe solutions.
Because we were a small group of four, I could set the pace, which made all the difference.
Our porter Dipak was unforgettable: full of character, endlessly funny, and incredibly helpful. Shy at first—definitely not! He kept us laughing, sang beautifully while hiking, and brought great energy every day. A visit to the health post together even turned into a memorable moment.
Despite being fit, we wisely skipped the Larke La pass due to my ankle and returned after the Tsum Valley. Pratap got home earlier to his family, and we left with amazing memories.
Thank you, Karna, Pratap, and Dipak. If you’re trekking in Nepal, choose Nepal Motherhouse Treks & Expeditions—you won’t regret it!

Dear Anouk and Martin,
Thank you very much for writing such a nice and helpful review of your Manaslu–Tsum Valley Trek with Nepal Mother House Treks & Expedition. Your concept is great because it really reflects what it's like to trek in the Himalayas: being open to new ideas, working together, and trusting one other.
It's good to hear that your trip preparation and communication went off without a hitch. When arranging a vacation to far-off places like Tsum Valley and Manaslu, it's very important to incorporate the right amount of acclimatization, rest days, and flexibility. We're happy that the personal touch made your event so much better.
We really appreciate how much you love Pratap. He really shows how capable and motivated he is by going on a hard 23-day trek in bad weather just after becoming a father. A superb Himalayan guide can stay cool, happy, and focused on safety even when they have a bad ankle injury, it rains for days, landslides happen, and snow falls out of nowhere. We're happy he's with us.
We also want to thank you for bringing up Dipak. Every day of the holiday, he was strong, polite, full of life, and humorous. A porter is more than just someone who carries things; they are part of the experience. We're glad that Dipak become a friend that your group will always remember.
You made the right choice not to go to Larkya La Pass because of your health and the weather. Getting back to a pass in the Himalayas is only half the struggle; the other half is getting back safely with memories that will last a lifetime. We're glad we could assist you choose what's best for you.
Thanks again for believing in me, understanding me, and saying nice things. Your reviews help other people who wish to hike in Nepal find a company that is safe, adaptable, and knows a lot about the area.
We wish you all the best on behalf of Pratap, Dipak, and the rest of the Nepal Mother House family. We hope to see you again when the mountains call you back to the Himalayas.
Best of luck!

A very professional agency, highly flexible and honest
I've trekked for 24 days up and down the Tsum Valley and then around the Manaslu circuit with "Nepal Mother House Treks & Expedition" of Karna Rana and I'm extremely pleased with their services. I'd already done a number of treks in the Himalaya without a guide or a porter and definitely I did not wanted a fully organized package. I just needed the permits provided by and agnecy and also an authorized guide, since these are legally required for Tsum and Manaslu. All trekking agencies contacted by me, however, only offered fully organized packages with fixed and quite compressed itineraries.
Karna Rana also initially offered me a full package, which is probably required by most clients. After this, he however immediately understood my desires, and provided exactly what I needed, for the correct and honest price, and without pushing for unrequired services. He also gave me very precise and useful information about the defects of my plans, and significantly contributed to a much better itinerary. He was also very useful and forthcoming when one of my scheduled trekking partners had a sanitary problem before actually starting the trek.
The porter-guide provided the agency, Kishor Magar, proved to be very gentle and protective, full of nice humor, highly flexible, surprisingly strong when necessary, and very knowledgeable about the path, the many villages, and the various side tracks I was interested to. I really enjoyed the company of Kishor and I feel that I've been very lucky to have him as my partner in this trek.
I highly recommend "Nepal Mother House Treks & Expedition" as an agency, and Kishor Magar as a guide, porter, and trekking partner.

Dear Raffaele, Namaste,
I am deeply grateful for your kind, thorough, and thoughtful evaluation of your 24-day Manaslu and Tsum Valley trip with Nepal Mother House Treks. Your words really moved us the rest of our team. Your trip was long, hard, and exceptional, and knowing that we helped you see the Himalayas the way you chose to meant more to us than you can imagine.
You were clear from the start about how you wanted to trek: alone, with experience, and only getting the basic services necessary by law for Tsum and Manaslu, which are permits and a qualified guide. I get how annoyed you were looking for a travel agency since most offer fixed-package itineraries. I'm so delighted we were able to listen closely, understand what you needed, and make a flexible, personalized plan that met your needs without adding any more expenditures or stress.
Your plan was already well thought out, and it was a pleasure to assist you make it even better by recommending better acclimatization days, making the route flow better, and making sure you could see all the side valleys and spiritual locations that make Tsum and Manaslu so special. When you trek in isolated areas like this, you need to prepare ahead and be ready to change plans. I'm also grateful that you heeded our advice when your spouse had an unanticipated health problem.
We all appreciate how much you like Kishor Magar. Kishor is a remarkable mix of power, humility, humor, and a lot of information about the mountains. We were so happy to hear that you liked spending time with him, that he was helpful, and that he cared about you on the less-known paths. I will tell him what you said. He'll be happy to know he made your time in the Himalayas better, safer, and more fun.
Your suggestion is vital, Raffaele, especially since you are a very experienced trekker who has traveled the Himalayas on your own several times. We appreciate that you see our honesty, flexibility, and dedication to real service. This is exactly what Nepal Mother House Treks was built on.
I want to say thank you on behalf of myself, Kishor, and everyone else at Nepal Mother House. We are grateful to have been a part of your experience, and we will always be available for you if you choose to come back to Nepal for another significant trek, whether it's in a peaceful valley, over a high pass, or in a remote section of the Himalayas.

Hello Javier,
Namaste!
Thank you very much for telling us about your amazing experience and saying kind things. It's great to hear that your Manaslu View Trek, which is also known as the Bhimtang Trek, was such a unique and remarkable excursion. Your honest description of the mountain vistas and ambiance really shows how beautiful this location is. Every sunrise over the Himalayas feels like a magical event, and every step brings you closer to nature's heart.
We are so happy to hear that our guides, Karma Tamang and Sangam Magar, made your vacation even more special. We want all of our guides to be kind, knowledgeable, and competent. In this approach, our guests may not only see Nepal, but also feel it by meeting actual people who live there.
The 6-day Manaslu Short Trek program was an excellent way to experience the Manaslu area in less time. This path definitely gives you one of the best brief Himalayan experiences in Nepal. It starts in the peaceful trails of Dharapani and Gho and ends in the beautiful alpine beauty of Bhimtang, Ponkkar Lake, and Nayamlo Glacier.
We really appreciate that you wish to come back. You and other guests like you inspire us to keep delivering people great trips that include beautiful nature, friendly culture, and personal attention. We would love to help you locate more hidden gems in Nepal when you come back. The Annapurna Base Camp Trek, Upper Mustang, and even the Manaslu Circuit with Larkya La Pass are all instances. They all took the same amount of attention and love to make.
Thank you so much, Javier, for letting Nepal Mother House Treks take you around the Himalayas. We can't wait for you to come back to Nepal for another great time. Until then, Namaste and good luck from the Himalayas!
With all my heart,

Manaslu Circuit - Oct 2025 as a female solo traveler
I have been planning to do the Manaslu circuit for months and got the Nepal Mother House recommended by a friend from Berlin. I asked Karna if it was possible to have a female guide since i was a female solo traveler and would feel more comfortable with a woman. He luckily got me in touch with Guide Ashmita who i then did the whole trail with. The transportation, tea houses, airport pickup and the first night in Kathmandu was all arranged by Karna and Ashmita and i had an amazing time. I was also a bit worried about the food since i am vegan, but i got very well fed with delicious vegan curries, Dal Bhat and very apple porridge along the way.
I am more then happy, that i did the trip especially since i even i case of landslides or bad weather conditions, i felt always well guided and very cared!
Operator response
Dear Leo H,
Thank you very much for telling us about your fantastic time on the Manaslu Circuit Trek. It means a lot! 🌺
It's great to hear that your trip to the beautiful and secluded Manaslu area was both safe and memorable. When a woman travels alone, her comfort, confidence, and safety are always our top priority. We're so glad that Ashmita was the perfect person to be your female hiking leader. Her politeness, friendliness, and professionalism made your trip one you won't forget.
It's great to hear that everything went well, from picking you up at the airport to your comfortable stay in Kathmandu and all the tea houses along the way. The Manaslu Circuit is one of the most culturally and spiritually rich hikes in Nepal. We really appreciate that you trust us to take care of everything.
We also appreciate that you cared about your vegan diet and took care of it. We want all of our guests to feel like they are being taken care of, no matter what their culture, diet, or background is. We're very happy to hear that you liked the apple porridge, dal bhat, and vegan curries! 🍛✨
It's great that you always felt safe, supported, and well-guided, even when the weather in the Himalayas was severe and there were landslides. That's what it means to be a responsible hiker. Your tale is a great example of how traveling carefully can be fun, comfortable, cultural, and nice at the same time.
Thanks again, Leo, for helping Nepal Mother House Treks manage your trip to the Himalayas. We are pleased to have been a part of your adventure from Kathmandu to Samagaaun, over Larkya La Pass (5,160m), and beyond.
We hope to see you again on another trip, maybe to the Tsum Valley, the Annapurna Circuit with Tilicho Lake, or the Everest Base Camp Luxury Trek. We hope you have a great time until then and go on many more trips that will inspire you.
Best Regards,
Karna Rana and Nepal Mother House Team

Memorable Manaslu Circuit Experience
This is the 3rd time we engaged the service of Nepal Mother House for our treks in the Himalayans. In 2019, we went to EBC; then in 2023 to ABC, and recently to the Manaslu circuit trek.
The Manaslu region is not as commercialised as the EBC and ABC route, yet our tour operator and guide went above and beyond to make sure we were as comfortable as possible each day.
During the first few days of the hike, I wasn’t feeling my best, but our guide Jayram Magar, showed genuine care, walking beside me, reminding me to eat, rest and stay hydrated. His calm presence and experience really made a difference. Each evening he gave us a detailed briefing about the next day’s trail and what to expect, which helped us prepare both mentally and physically
Crossing the Larke La Pass was definitely the highlight — tough but incredibly rewarding. We couldn’t have done it without the guidance and support of our amazing team. The porters were wonderful too — always cheerful, attentive, and making sure we were safe every step of the way.
Thank you to Karna, Jayram and the porters for making this journey safe, smooth, and truly unforgettable

Dear Erene Lee Lin Lin,
Greetings from everyone at Nepal Mother House Treks!
Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a kind review and for trusting us again on your third trip to the Himalayas, from Everest Base Camp (EBC) to Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) and now the magnificent Manaslu Circuit Trek. It means a lot to us that such great guests are coming back to see more of Nepal's beautiful beauty with our staff.
We are very moved by what you said about Jayram Magar. Because he is calm and caring, many hikers have safely crossed the Himalayas. We wish to treat every guest at Nepal Mother House as a friend going with us into the heart of Nepal, not just a customer. We want him to be warm and caring during your vacation, like when he told you to rest, eat well, and drink enough water.
The Larke La Pass (5,160m) is one of the hardest but most rewarding parts of the Manaslu Circuit Trek. It's great to hear that you enjoyed it and will remember it. You really showed how much you appreciate the hard work and devotion our porters put into every trek by saying great things about them and how happy they are.
Thanks again, Erene, for trusting us and telling other tourists about your trip.
Your review encourages others want to go to the Manaslu region, which is one of Nepal's most peaceful and real trekking spots. They can see the untouched beauty and sincere warmth there.
We can't wait to see you again, maybe when you go back to the Himalayas to visit Tsum Valley, Upper Mustang, or the Langtang Region!
With the most sincere thanks and best wishes,
We just completed our third trek in Nepal with Nepal Mother House Treks & Expedition to the Manaslu region.
It was a pleasure to make the arrangements with Mr. Karna as he knew what our expectations were. He is very attentive and made all the ground arrangements from airport pickup, hotel accommodations at Kathmandu, trekking permits to the Manaslu and Annapurna Conservation Areas, transport from Kathmandu to Jagat and back from Tilje and finally sending us back to the airport.
We were fortunate to have Jayram as our guide again. We had trekked with him to EBC and ABC earlier and so it was great to meet and catch up with him. He is a very caring and helpful guide to trek with and quite chatty when you get to know him. He made sure our accommodations were comfortable during our trek and kept a watchful eye over us. He pointed out the various landmarks as we trekked and also certain plants which were endemic to the area. He briefed us every evening to our route for the following day, duration of trekking and general conditions to expect.
We had Deepak, Ganesh and Kishore as our porters and they lighten our load and made the trek enjoyable. They went out of their way many times to ensure our safety. We were caught in the tail end of the monsoon and most of the streams were running full. The three of them helped us across many times and even rolling extra boulders into the streams for better footholds. They friendly banter kept us entertained on trek and in the evenings at the tea houses.
It was a real sense of achievement when we made Larke Pass especially when one of us was 70 years of age!!
Thank you all for making this journey a happy and memorable one.
We look forward to our next trek soon with Nepal Mother House Treks & Expedition.

Dear Sir Dr. Senthuran,
Namaste and a hearty welcome from Nepal!
Thank you very much for sending Nepal Mother House Treks & Expedition your fantastic and encouraging review of your Manaslu Circuit Trek in Nepal. Reading about your journey certainly made us feel good. It was an honor to have you back for your third trek with us after your journeys to Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) and Everest Base Camp (EBC). Thank you very much for trusting us.
We're so glad to hear that your trip to the Manaslu region was another great one in the Himalayas, with a combination of adventure, natural beauty, and friendly residents. We're just as happy that your expert guide Jayram made sure you were safe and comfortable again while sharing his wide knowledge of the mountains, scenery, and indigenous vegetation. It's always nice to see trekkers get along so well with our guides that they become lifelong friends.
Also, thank you for noticing how hard Deepak, Ganesh, and Kishor worked. Their hard work and good attitude made your walk more better. Your story about crossing swollen monsoon streams and climbing the Larke Pass, especially with a 70-year-old trekker, is quite inspiring! It makes me think that people of all ages can visit the Himalayas as long as they are guided with care, patience, and passion.
We are glad that everything went well for you, from getting to and from the airport and staying in a hotel in Kathmandu to receiving hiking permits, transportation, and general planning. We have always wanted to help you have a great holiday so you can fully experience the beauty and challenge of Nepal's hiking paths.
Your kind words make us want to keep giving people true, safe, and meaningful trekking experiences all around Nepal, from the Manaslu Circuit to Kanchenjunga to Langtang and Upper Mustang. We can't wait to meet you again soon for another great vacation in the Himalayas.
Please accept our heartfelt thanks and best wishes until then. I hope the spirit of the mountains is always with you.
With the most heartfelt appreciation,

Dear Sir Chow Wai Ming,
Greetings and Namaste from Nepal!
Your heartfelt review really moved us, and we can't thank you enough for your trust and support over the years. It means the world to us that you have chosen Nepal Mother House Treks three times: for your 2019 Everest Base Camp Trek, your 2023 Annapurna Base Camp Trek, and now your 2025 Manaslu Circuit Trek. Your loyalty means everything to us, and it motivates our whole team to do their best for every traveler who comes with us.
It's great to hear such nice things about Jayram. He really is a guide who cares about his work and makes sure that everyone is comfortable and successful every day, especially when they have to cross hard parts like the Larkya La Pass. We are very proud that he has been your trusted companion on all three treks. We agree with you that his honesty, experience, and dependability are truly exceptional qualities. We will make sure to tell him what you said. It will mean a lot.
It's even more inspiring to know that your team of four, who were between 44 and 70 years old, did these things together. It shows that trekking in the Himalayas isn't just about being fit; it's also about having a good attitude, being determined, and working together. We really admire your bravery and positive attitude. It makes our jobs as guides and organizers even more rewarding.
We also appreciate that you thanked our assistant guides and porters for their hard work. They are often the unsung heroes of every trip, and thanking them for their kindness and hard work will surely make them want to keep doing their best.
Thank you once more for your trust, friendship, and for telling others about us. This is from me, Jayram, and the whole Nepal Mother House family. It has been a great honor for us to walk with you on some of Nepal's most beautiful trails. We truly hope to see you again for another Himalayan adventure in the future.
Until then, we hope you and your team stay healthy, happy, and have many more trips that are full of fun and new experiences.
With the deepest thanks and warmest wishes,
Karna Rana
