⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Once-in-a-Lifetime Everest Base Camp Journey with Nepal Hiking Team

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Once-in-a-Lifetime Everest Base Camp Journey with Nepal Hiking Team Reaching Everest Base Camp was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and we could not have done it without the incredible team at Nepal Hiking Team. The trek challenged us physically and mentally in ways that are difficult to put into words. There were long days, changing weather, increasing altitude, tired legs, and moments when we had to dig deep and simply keep putting one foot in front of the other. Our journey to Everest Base Camp included some of our longest and most demanding days, which made finally standing there even more meaningful. But what we will remember just as much as the mountains are the people who made this journey possible. A very special thank you to our senior guide, Arjun Dahal, whose experience, patience, leadership, and steady presence gave us confidence throughout the trek. He was attentive to how everyone was doing, kept us motivated through difficult stretches, and made sure our group felt supported every step of the way. We are equally grateful to our assistant guides, Govinda and Bishal, who were always there with encouragement, assistance, and a smile when we needed it most. The entire guiding team worked together beautifully and made an incredibly challenging experience feel manageable. And there are simply not enough words to express our gratitude to our porters. Their hard work, strength, resilience, and humility are extraordinary. Day after day, they carried our belongings through demanding mountain terrain, often arriving ahead of us and making sure everything was ready when we reached our destination. So much of what trekkers are able to accomplish in the Himalayas is made possible by these hardworking men, and they deserve tremendous respect and recognition. One person who especially stood out to me was Gangaji, the owner of Nepal Hiking Team. He is an absolute gem of a human being. We experienced unexpected helicopter delays toward the end of our journey, which meant our plans suddenly had to change and we had to hike back down toward Namche. This could easily have become an extremely stressful situation, but Gangaji handled everything with remarkable calmness and grace. He arranged horses for us and covered the expense, coordinated the changing logistics, and did everything he could to make a difficult and unexpected situation easier for our group. Once we returned to Kathmandu, he went even further by arranging our stay at his Wood Apple Hotel, where we were welcomed with wonderful hospitality and an amazing dinner. What impressed me most wasn’t simply what he arranged for us—it was how he handled everything. There was no chaos or unnecessary stress. He quietly took responsibility, found solutions, and made sure we were cared for. His humility stood out to me from the very beginning. On our very first day, he personally came to welcome and greet our group. That genuine warmth continued throughout our entire experience. Leadership is often revealed when things don’t go according to plan, and watching the way Gangaji and his team handled the unexpected showed us the heart behind Nepal Hiking Team. Beyond managing the logistics, this team allowed us to truly be present for the experience—to walk through some of the most breathtaking landscapes in the world, connect with the mountains and local culture, support one another, and appreciate the magnitude of where we were. There is something incredibly humbling about walking through the Himalayas. Every day brings a different landscape, a different challenge, and another reminder of how powerful nature is. By the time we reached Everest Base Camp, it wasn’t simply about reaching a destination. It represented every early morning, every uphill climb, every difficult breath at altitude, every tired step, and every person who helped us keep going. To Gangaji, Arjun, Govinda, Bishal, and every one of our incredible porters—thank you for your kindness, patience, humility, hard work, and the genuine care you showed our group. You didn’t simply help us reach Everest Base Camp. You became part of the story we will tell when we remember this adventure. We will cherish these memories for the rest of our lives. 🙏🏔️🇳🇵 From the bottom of our hearts, dhanyabad to the entire Nepal Hiking Team. Everest Base Camp may have been the destination, but the people who helped us reach it became one of the most unforgettable parts of the journey.

Spectacular ABC in September

My friends and I had the incredible opportunity to experience the stunning Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) Trek, and we loved every moment of it! The trek had everything you could ask for: scorching sunshine on some days, light rain and mist on others, peaceful walks through lush green forests, powerful waterfalls in full flow, even rainbows, magnificent glacier-capped mountains accompanying us throughout the journey, and of course, the breathtaking sunrise and sunset at ABC itself. Every day brought something different, and we truly enjoyed every part of the adventure. A special thank you to our guide, Santosh, who took exceptional care of us from start to finish. He communicated clearly in proper English, understood our needs well, and always made us feel comfortable and safe throughout the trek. Since we were trekking during a transitional weather period, Santosh's experience proved invaluable. He carefully planned each day's schedule, adjusting our pace and departure times based on the weather forecast. On one particular day, knowing that rain was expected later in the afternoon, he wisely advised us to start early, which worked out perfectly. Beyond being a knowledgeable and professional guide, Santosh is also a genuinely kind-hearted person. We shared many laughs along the way, and he was always happy to answer our endless questions. Whether we were curious about a mountain peak in the distance or the local trees and plants around us, he would patiently explain everything in detail. What impressed us most was how he handled the unexpected challenges at the end of our trip. Due to heavy rain, there was uncertainty surrounding the road conditions and landslides on the route back to Kathmandu. Santosh, together with the Nepal Hiking Team, carefully assessed the situation, managed all the logistics, and arranged for us to take the first available flight out instead. The entire process was handled professionally and seamlessly, allowing us to travel back with complete peace of mind. I would highly recommend Santosh to anyone planning a trek in Nepal. His knowledge, professionalism, attention to safety, and warm personality made our ABC experience even more memorable. Thank you, Santosh, for helping make this adventure truly unforgettable! 😊 One thing worth mentioning: this was actually our second trek with Santosh. We previously completed the Everest Base Camp Three Passes Trek with him, and that's exactly why we chose him again for ABC. What impressed us most is that he is the same genuine, kind-hearted, knowledgeable, and professional person today as he was back then. Consistency speaks volumes, and after two challenging treks together, I can confidently say that Santosh is someone you can fully trust to guide your adventure in Nepal.

A great adventure

We were reccomend to Nepal Hiking Team and can confirm it was great! The whole experience was easy and well organized. Communication pre trek was always prompt and website had plenty of information to get us prepared. Our guide (Vishma), was excellent. They looked after us well, made sure we were safe and healthy (blood oxygen test at higher altitudes) made sure we knew what to expect each day, what to wear and what we needed to know. They made sure we got where we needed to go, had eaten enough and even taught me some nepalise words. Our porter (Surdess) was also a delight, always happy to help and got out gear there safely! Couldn't have done it without them. We would reccomend using Nepal Hiking Team for your trek.

Everest Base Camp via the Three High Passes — an outstanding team

I highly recommend Nepal Hiking Team. I've just completed the Everest Base Camp trek via the Three High Passes (Kongma La, Cho La, and Renjo La), and every part of it was handled with real professionalism. From the start, Ganga organized all the logistics perfectly. In the Himalayas, Raj Kumar Gurung, my dear guide and new friend, made the difference between attempting the route and finishing it. His judgment on pacing and conditions, and the sense of safety he conveyed to me on the high passes, got me through the hardest days. I also thank our porter, MP Kulung, whose steady effort made the journey possible across the entire trek and the high passes. If you're considering the Everest Base Camp trek — demanding but unforgettable — this is a team you can trust to get you there and back safely.

Once ina lifetime experience on EBC TREK wit h Nepal HikingTeam and guise Sammy and porter Hari

After doing extensive research , I settled with the NEPAL HIKING TEAM. It was a good decision. The organization and planning were superb with attention to detail from airport pickup to final departure after the EBC trek. I have to definitely praise the guide Shyam Sitaula(Sam) and our porters HARI For their consistent caring, encouragement and patience with me. I stated having issues (appeared to be AMS) on trek from LUKLA to. Phasing onwards to Namche Bazaar . We were a group of 3 trekkers. Sam stayed with me at a very slow pace and sent the other members onwards with the porters. Their co cern for my well being was over and abi e the call of duty. Sam kept checking on my health status and reminding me to drink water at regular intervals. At Namche he took the time to find me a good massage therapist for my sore muscles. Sam kept reminding me to take my Diamox tablets. All of his and KHari’s care and compassion allows me to co tine with the trek. I managed to walk up to Somare between Dingboche and Lobuche. When my legs basically packed up and I was ready to quit the trek. Sam assessed the situation and said let’s go on for 1 more day and see how you feel. He arranged a horse with a guide for me to continue on to Lobuche. He left HARI with me ( carrying g the heavy load all the way) to ensure that I was comfortable and keeping in touch with SAM during the journey. The same advice allowed me to continue to GORAKSHEP and on to EBC on horseback with all of the same care and attention. On DAY 9 I finally got to EBC which would not have been possible me without all of the assistance, comforting and hand holding of Sam and HARI ( I also have to mention Mani - our second guide who also helped out in his own way with keeping the trek going for All of us. My specials thanks also goes to Kuba and Gary for their patience and encouragement al along the way. I woulsd not ave made it to EBC without Sam and Hari’s attention to my health , and perseverance to get me their ensuing that I did not put myself in anty kind of Danget. Also to the rest of my team for putting g up with my slowness and any issues experienced. I will be forever grateful for Sam , HARI, Mani, Kuba and Gary for being there and encouraging me to complete my journey to EBC (- bucket list item). I am turning 71 in a few days Hats of to San and Hari for going abi e and beyond the call of duty to ensures reached my goal successfully and safely. Also for all the co-ordination that Sam did I get to g the horse ride, helicopter rides and co-ordinating allofthehotel booking changes due to my situation. I will definitely seek out SAM and HARI for my next adventure in NEPAL. Thank you Sam and Hari for a life changing experience that I could not have achieved without you. Thanks and NAMASTE.

Recommended without reservation

We did the ABC trip in September 2026 with guide Arjun, assistant guides, Vishal and Govinda. Our trek to Everest Base Camp was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and so much of that is because of our wonderful guides. From the very beginning, they were knowledgeable, experienced, patient, encouraging, and incredibly attentive to our needs. The trek was challenging at times, particularly with the altitude and long days of hiking, but our guides always knew when to encourage us, when to slow down, and how to make sure we were comfortable and safe. Their knowledge of the trails, mountains, weather, altitude, and local culture made us feel that we were in very capable hands throughout the journey. They also went far beyond simply guiding us from one destination to another. They were genuinely caring and became an important part of our experience. Their encouragement helped us push through the difficult sections and ultimately reach Everest Base Camp — a moment we will never forget. The scenery was spectacular, the villages and monasteries fascinating, and standing at Everest Base Camp after all those days of trekking was incredibly emotional and rewarding. We are extremely grateful to our guides and the entire team who made this trip so special. If you are considering the Everest Base Camp trek, we would wholeheartedly recommend this team. They made a challenging adventure feel safe, enjoyable, and incredibly memorable. Thank you for an amazing journey and memories that we will carry with us for the rest of our lives!
