Set off for an unforgettable day through the iconic D-Day sites in Normandy: Utah Beach, Pointe du Hoc, Omaha Beach and the American Cemetery. A moving immersion in the history of the Second World War.

Your Driver and Guide (depending on the option chosen) will pick you up directly at the agreed location: Inn, Station or Cruise Terminal. He will welcome you with a name sign to facilitate the meeting. You will then take your seat in a modern, comfortable and air-conditioned vehicle for a memorable day in history.
Utah Beach
90 min
After about 2 hours drive from Le Havre, you reach Utah Beach, the first beach liberated by American troops on June 6, 1944. You will discover the bunkers, the remains of the Atlantic Wall and, optionally, the museum that traces military operations. Your Guide will explain how General Roosevelt's troops managed to break through the German defenses with relatively limited losses.

Pointe du Hoc

After 40 minutes of travel, you arrive at Pointe du Hoc. This spectacular site, perched on 30-metre cliffs, still bears witness to the violence of the fighting. The bomb craters and crumbling bunkers recall the heroic assault of American rangers who scaled the cliff under enemy fire.

Omaha Beach

A short 15-minute drive takes you to Omaha Beach, nicknamed “the bloody Omaha”. This beach remains one of the most poignant places of the D-Day landings. Here, the American troops suffered the heaviest losses in confronting formidable German defenses. Walking on this beach means feeling history and understanding the Award of Freedom.
Lunch break: you will have the opportunity to dine on site (sandwiches, quick snacks) or, if you prefer, enjoy a small typical restaurant on the road, selected for its authenticity and local cuisine.

Cimetiere Americain de Colleville-sur-Mer

Finally, after only 10 minutes drive, you reach the Colleville-sur-Mer American Cemetery, facing Omaha Beach. This memorial honours more than 9,000 American soldiers who fell in the Battle of Normandy. You will see the perfect alignments of white crosses, the memorial, the chapel and the breathtaking sea views.

Normandy Beach private your
Absolutely brilliant. Our tour guide Mathilde was a wealth of knowledge and fascinating local insights. Our driver Modjy was pleasant, courtious and very professional. Our group of seven (ages 4 to 67) all came away eager to do individual research in order to gain a deeper understanding of the events that Mathilde had introduced us to. We spent 10 hours with Mathilde and Modjy and every minute was fascinating and a joy. Highly recomended, a most rewarding day.

Great Private Guided Tour of Normandy WWII Area
An excellent driver, Adel, with a great tour guide, Sunny. Picked the 6 of us up at the cruise ship for a drive to Normandy. Sunny was very good at giving g us information about the country side we were passing through, the areas we were to visit and WWII . Did not rush us and gave us options. Overall a very emotional and great day visiting the beaches of Normandy. Excellent private tour of this very historical area. A big thank you from our group!

Amazing Experience
Loved this tour. Visiting the various locations associated with WWII and understanding the French perspective of the US support and other allies was enlightening. Transportation and English speaking guide was great and perfect for our party of 6.

Incredible day in Normandy remembering the D-Day landings with private tour guide
Incredible day with private tour guide who helped us understand all the intricacies and details of the D-Day planning, landings, and battles. Omaha Beach, Utah Beach, Pont Du Hoc, bunkers, craters, hedgerows, and more. The Memorial was particularly special as we explored the chapel, cross headstones, and the wall of names of soldiers who have not yet been found. Our guide helped me contact the Visitor Center to arrange a remembrance of my grandfather's best friend who survived D-Day but died a month later. (I had not known to arrange it prior to the trip). We sanded his stone with sand from Omaha Beach (to help his name stand out in pictures) and placed an American and French flag at his grave. Such an amazing experience with my daughter! And the hospitality was incredible- we even stopped for omelettes and gallettes. We also added a round-trip transfer to and from our cruise port for added convenience and were so glad we did. Great trip!

Brilliant
Jonathan was an amazing driver. We had a few different things on the tour we wanted to see that were special to us and he made it happen. Arrived with fresh croissants and juice. Was very accommodating and helpful and took us to amazing places. Highly recommend him and this tour
