A fantastic gem of a day trip

This was a brilliant day trip and incredible value. We had a friendly message telling us where to meet - our Riad was not near a road - and when we got to the departure point, were met with a friendly team in a modern, comfortable minibus. We drove off out of Marrakech with a couple of stops to pick up other passengers. First stop was just on the edge of the city where we met some Berber, drank some mint tea, and rode camels. We even were able to try on some robes and cheches. After that we drove into the mountains including a stop for some breakfast - lunch really - at the Women's Argan Oil Co-operative including some singing and dancing. A quick stop for a mountain view and then into the mountains proper. The trek across the mountains wasn't trivial or too taxing. I was with my thirteen year old son and we both enjoyed it, but worth noting that there are a few uneven and slightly steep parts if that is an issue for you. Those with limited mobility in our group were taken straight to the village and missed the roughly two hours of hiking, The views and waterfalls were amazing, and well worth the walk. The "lunch" - by this stage mid afternoon - was fabulous and of course included a tagine. Afterwards we walked a short while to get to the minibus and drove back to Marrakech. We arrived back just before 6pm. All the way through the day, our guide Omar was superb with his interesting and well paced explanations of history, culture, and everything else. It was a lovely tour where we all felt able to ask any questions we wanted, and where we moved at a speed which was comfortable for all. All in all the trip was amazing value and a great day out.

Lovely day at a good price

Lovely day doing this excursion and well very well priced for what you experience over the full day. Lahcen was our guide and really looked after us taking us to his village, giving us insight into Berber life and taking us through the mountains and waterfalls on a hike after a traditional Tajine lunch. The camel ride to finish the day off was fun!

Very interesting activity

I would have liked to give it 5 stars but... 4 only because the communication after booking this activity 3 weeks in advance was done only the day before departure at 6pm. So this generated a lot of concern after reading extremely negative reviews about a potential scam, the absence for some of the organizers at the time of departure on the D-day and without any possibility to reach the claimant consequently no activity... In short, fortunately this did not happen to us this morning January 30, 2026, Yasmine our brilliant and pleasant guide was there and we spent a very pleasant day under the sun by chance because it was not won when we left the center of Marrakech. Magnificent landscapes, a rather physical walk corn that was worth it and everyone could do it at his own pace so no problem even for the less athletic. Delicious meal prepared by the family of our guide Yasmine in a space conducive to restoration with an exceptional view of the beautiful valley from the bay window. I strongly recommend this activity as I advise the different protagonists to be more communicative with their customers, a small message of welcome to the reservation via whatsapp which allows to have your phone number in case of emergency and this is more reassuring also ☺️😉 Thank you. Thank you. CHOUKRANE

Excellent experience of Amazigh life in the Atla! Do not miss this

This is one trip I would recommend to anyone going to Marrakech. Our guide Mustafa is the best person, on both professional and personal side, that someone can ask for this trip. The trip takes you to the upper village close to the Atlas Mountains, where you can see Toubkal the second highest peak of Africa. The main attraction though for me was the experience of eating Moroccan food at Mustafa’s house itself, prepared by his family members. This is the best food and best experience one can ask for in Morocco. You get to learn more about the local people their lifestyle and traditions, and also meet the kindest of the people.

Fantastic trip to the mountains

Omar, the guide, was very informative and prepared to answer any questions. The camel ride was an unforgettable experience as well as the visit to the argan oil cooperative. The walk to the waterfalls and then to the restaurant where we had lunch is a bit tiring and definitely unsuitable for people with walking difficulties. But it was a day well spent.

The guide was excellent,...

The guide was excellent, friendly and very helpful. It was lovely meeting her family members at the House. The camel ride was a good experience. Lunch was delicious. I recommend eating a good breakfast before you leave and take some snacks with you as lunch is eaten very late in the day. Definitely wear comfortable and sturdy shoes because the hike is long and a little arduous. I don’t recommend this activity if you have very small children who can’t walk

At the top!!!

Superb visit to do absolutely!!! Our yasmine guide was at the top as well as the driver and organizers of the camel tour who offered us beautiful photos and videos. Many thanks to the women of the Argan Oil Factory for their warm and musical Welcoming and their explanations of their know-how. A big thank you to the jass family who welcomed us wonderfully at home and regaled us, a great meal with a great view after this beautiful waterfall hike accessible to beginners who love to walk. You will not be disappointed with this experience. A good tip is deserved something I could not do for lack of cash to my great regret.🙏

Kick off your Moroccan adventure!

This was an amazing experience! Our guide, Ibrahim, was knowledgeable and fun. He interspersed fun facts about the Berber culture and life style into this tour. We went on a camel ride while dressed in traditional garb, had multiple glasses of tea, sampled the fresh baked bread w/honey, olive oil, argon oil and peanut sauce, visited a women’s coop, took a wonderful hike in the mountains to a waterfall, and finally had a delicious and traditional lunch/dinner at the guide’s family home… what a day! 10 hours! Wow!
