Fushimi Inari and Sake Tasting Tour from Kyoto Station

We will visit the world-famous Fushimi Inari Shrine, one of Japan's most iconic spiritual landmarks. Your guide will lead you through the stunning path of thousands of vibrant red torii gates. As we walk through these beautiful tunnels of gates, you will learn about the history of Shinto beliefs and the traditions of this remarkable shrine.

We will visit Gokonomiya Shrine, famous for its sacred spring water. You can taste this fresh natural water here. Since pure groundwater is key to brewing premium sake, this stop is the perfect introduction. We will explain why Fushimi became a top sake-brewing district!

We will walk through a vibrant local shopping street that caters truly to the community, rather than being a tourist destination. Unlike typical tourist areas, this covered arcade gives you a real glimpse into the daily life of Kyoto residents as we stroll past charming traditional shops.

We will stop outside "Teradaya," a historic Japanese inn famous for its connection to the legendary samurai, Sakamoto Ryoma. This inn was the site of a dramatic assassination attempt in 1866. We will view the preserved building from the outside and feel the atmosphere of the end of the samurai era!

We will visit "Fushimi Yumehyakushu," the former headquarters of Gekkeikan, located right near the Gekkeikan Okura Sake Museum. During this 30-minute stop, you can enjoy tasting 17 different types of local Japanese sake, making it the perfect opportunity to find your personal favorite! We also offer a fun sake-tasting guessing game to test your palate. If you find a sake you love, you can purchase bottles to take home as a souvenir. Your sake tasting is fully included!
