Florence Accademia Gallery Tour & Timed Entry Tickets Included

I'll be honest, I did not expect much from this tour going in. It is a statue, how much could a guide really add? I figured we would look at it for a few minutes and move on. Our tour guide completely changed my mind. Standing in front of the David in person is already something photos cannot prepare you for, the scale, the detail, the presence it has in that room is stunning on its own. But what made the visit truly unforgettable was her. She clearly had a deep background in art history, and she walked us through the statue from every angle, giving us a full 360 degree view while explaining the engineering and artistic choices behind it, including why certain elements were positioned the way they were to physically support the structure of the marble itself. I went from thinking I was just looking at a beautiful sculpture to actually understanding why it has stood the test of time both artistically and structurally. If you are visiting Florence, do not skip the Accademia, and do not skip the guided tour either. I almost did, and it would have been a mistake. The context and passion our guide brought made all the difference.

Guidw was very nice, enthusiastic, kind. But, there was no time to ask questions or have a dialogue at all and the group was too big. It was expensive so my score reflects this too.

Ana was such a passionate tour guide! you can see she truly loves Michelangelo and she gave us cool details about his life and ideals and how he incorporated them in his sculptures, particularly david. I love it when a tour guide is passionate and not simply stating dry facts.

Galya was very knowledgeable and kept us going at a good pace. Made the experience very enjoyable and informative. Much better than expected.

The good: our guide was superb. Galya was funny, knowledgeable, and managed the group well. The not so good: you don’t actually get to skip the lines. You get to skip some of the lines. It was definitely faster than just waiting without a tour, but we still waited for nearly 40 minutes before being let in. The surprise: there’s not much to see. Don’t get me wrong, seeing David and a few other Michelangelo and Bartolini pieces was amazing. But this is NOT an extensive collection. So for the price, it’s questionable in my opinion when you could spend only a bit more and tour the extensive Vatican collection in Rome. We were in and out in just over an hour, and we lingered.

Galya was an amazing guide! She was so informative, so entertaining, and SO passionate about the history and beauty of Michelangelo's David, along with other cool things in the museum. You can tell she puts her heart, knowledge and soul into what she does. She made the experience unforgettable for us!

Excellent organisation , communication, and knowledgeable guide

Ana was passionate about the art and David and it showed in her tour. Our entire party loved the tour—the right amount of information and quick access do the building while others waited for hours.

My wife and I are on our honeymoon in Florence, booked same day and was overjoyed with our experience. Rosa was incredible. Very knowledgeable, energetic and charismatic. We would recommend Rosa to anyone. We hope to have someone like Rosa on all of our trips.
