The Accademia was a wonderful experience. Would definitely recommend. We got lost a bit finding the meeting point but the guide found us.

You have to meet the same day of the meeting point outside the academia to get your ticket, but they are punctual and worked perfectly.

Book Directly with Academia Gallery - Not 3rd Party
This is a must-do experience, but I recommend booking directly with the Academia Gallery. Book the first time slot and arrive early. We arrived at 8 am and could not get in line, because we had to wait on the tour company to provide our tickets. He was late and then escorted us to the line we would’ve waited in anyway. After asking why we were in the regular line, he walked us to the front and spoke with the line attendants who eventually let us actually skip-the-line. Save yourself a lot of stress and simply book your ticket directly and then arrive early for your time slot if you want to be one of the first in to Academia.

Good luck finding the guy you are supposed to meet, and he will not be helpful when you send him messages. Academia is cool. Just plan accordingly and buy tickets through the appropriate channel
