Blue Lagoon Entry Ticket with Optional Private or Shared Transfer

We completely understand that, for first-time visitors, the different transfer options and package inclusions may not always be immediately clear. We would like to clarify that the difference between the Comfort and Premium packages, as well as the different private and bus transfer options, is clearly outlined in the tour description at the time of booking. Following the booking, we also send detailed instructions to our travellers, together with the relevant tickets, which explain the arrangements and the services included in the selected option. The difficulty we sometimes encounter is that the general Viator tour confirmation does not contain all of the detailed operational information that we provide separately. If travellers do not see or refer to the correspondence and tickets we send, they may rely solely on the general Viator confirmation, which can unfortunately lead to misunderstandings regarding the transfer arrangements. While this is not something we can fully control, we do our best to provide our travellers with clear and detailed information and to make the differences between the options as transparent as possible. That said, we genuinely appreciate your feedback. We will certainly review the wording of our instructions once again to see if there are areas where we can make them even clearer, particularly for travellers who are visiting Iceland for the first time. We fully respect that travelers may choose a different provider if they find another tour that better suits their budget or preferences. However, once a booking has been made and the agreed services have been provided, we cannot be responsible for the client's decision to book with us or for comparisons made with other companies afterwards. Similarly, we cannot issue refunds for services that were provided as agreed simply because another provider may have offered a lower price. We take our work, our time, and our commitment to our clients very seriously. Our goal is always to provide a transparent service and the best possible experience. We are particularly disappointed by the accusation that Marina Travel is “scamming” customers. We have been operating our business honestly and professionally for many years and have built an excellent rating based on the experiences and trust of our clients over that time. We value this reputation greatly and would never intentionally mislead our customers. For these reasons, we believe this review does not accurately reflect our company or the service provided, but rather your frustration regarding the refund requested after the tour, despite having received and enjoyed the services as booked. We would like to clarify that situations like the one you described are quite unusual. In the confirmation email sent after booking, we provide detailed transportation instructions, including the pickup time window (which can be up to 30 minutes), the name displayed on the minibus, and the bus color to help identify the correct vehicle. As multiple buses often pass through the same stops, it is standard procedure for passengers to show their ticket to the driver to ensure they are boarding the correct transfer. While we understand this may have caused some temporary confusion, this process is generally in place to avoid passengers boarding the wrong bus and potentially missing their transfer altogether. That said, we truly appreciate your feedback and will review how we can make the instructions even clearer to help prevent any uncertainty in the future. The exact information provided is as follows: “For Reykjavik pick-ups from the hotel or nearest bus stop, you will be picked up by a minibus and transferred to the Bus Terminal to join a coach bus that will take you to the Lagoon. You will be dropped off at the Blue Lagoon. The same procedure is applied for the return to Reykjavik.” Thank you for your understanding.
