Meiji Jingu is one of Tokyo’s most important Shinto shrines, located beside Harajuku in a large forested area. The shrine is dedicated to Emperor Meiji and Empress Shoken and is known for its peaceful atmosphere, impressive torii gates, and beautiful woodland approach. It offers a calm contrast to the busy streets of nearby Harajuku and Shibuya. Visitors can learn about Shinto traditions, make a prayer, write wishes on wooden ema plaques, and sometimes see traditional wedding ceremonies. It is one of the best places in central Tokyo to experience Japanese spirituality and culture.

Senso-ji Temple

Senso-ji is Tokyo's oldest and most famous Buddhist temple, located in the historic Asakusa district. Founded in 645 AD, it is dedicated to Kannon, the Buddhist goddess of mercy. According to legend, two fishermen discovered a small statue of Kannon in the nearby Sumida River in 628 AD. Although they returned it to the river, the statue kept reappearing, and a temple was eventually built to honor it.

Tokyo Tour and shrine by Yuki!!!

Yuki was the nicest kindest professional guide! The 10 seater van was extremely comfortable with a white glove very safe driver. Yuki was eager to assist and show us what he could in the short time we had. Excellent English and communicative. I highly recommend this service!!!
