Highlights: Begin the tour with a visit to Shinjuku Gyoen, one of Tokyo's most famous parks with a vast variety of cherry blossoms. The park offers a mix of traditional Japanese gardens, English gardens, and French formal gardens, all of which are perfect for sakura viewing. Experience: Stroll through the park's serene paths, enjoy the blossoms, and take photos. The park is expansive, and the different garden styles provide unique cherry blossom experiences.
Visit the beautiful Meiji Shrine Outer Garden - Meiji Jingu Gaien features the famous Sakurada-dori Avenue, which is lined with over 1,500 cherry trees, making it a must-see during sakura season. Experience: Walk down the beautiful avenue and enjoy the panoramic views of the sakura trees. The contrast of the trees with the urban backdrop makes for striking photos.
Chidorigafuchi Moat Highlights: Chidorigafuchi is one of the most picturesque spots for cherry blossom viewing in Tokyo. The park provides beautiful views of the blossoms with the Tokyo Skytree towering in the background. Experience: Stroll along the river and relax under the cherry trees. There are benches along the path where you can sit and enjoy a peaceful moment. Snack & Drink Stop: Location: In Sumida Park, stop by one of the local stalls or food trucks for a traditional Japanese snack (such as sakura mochi, a sweet rice cake filled with red bean paste, or taiyaki, a fish-shaped pastry filled with custard or red bean) and refreshing cold drinks. You can also enjoy a cold beer from a vending machine or nearby convenience store if desired.
As an optional scenic stop - you can Finish the tour with a visit to Tokyo Tower for a stunning view of the city. The observation decks offer panoramic views of the cherry blossoms in the city and Tokyo’s sprawling landscape. Experience: Take the elevator up to the observation deck for a final view of the city and cherry blossoms. Emelio was a brilliant and incredibly knowledgeable guide. We knew we were at the end of Cherry Blossom in Tokyo but managed to find some beautiful trees as well as great tour of Meiji shrine and gardens

We started by not having the tour guide show up for a 9 am walking tour. Multiple texts to the tour operator (Jewel Tours) elicited no response. Finally called Viator who then called the tour company who apparently told them the tour guide was at the hotel. No tour guide. Recalled Viator and then the tour company owner called me. Said the guide was not answering her phone but is usually very reliable. Asked him to get another guide and there was a lot of hemming and hawing. 1.5 hours later I received a message from another tour guide saying she would meet us at 1 pm. The next tour guide showed up at the new time promised but had no idea what was promised on the tour. She did her best but it was obvious she was inexperienced. We did not go to the sites promised, have the food promised or get the souvenir promised by Viator in the listing for the tour. Also we ended up going back and forth on the subway, taking a train the wrong train and wasting time. We also wasted time in Shibuya trying to get tickets to the observatory and none were available. At the end of the tour we met the tour guide’s husband. He was part of the company and was a very experienced guide who unfortunately had another engagement and couldn’t lead our tour. He said the unresponsive tour guide “was fired” However, he looked at the listing that I showed him when we signed up for the tour with Viator. He commented the items that were offered was “impossible” to do for a half day tour and that Viator never told them what was expected. Needless to say we were very disappointed and would have not paid the $385 for what we got. I do again want to say the guide tried her best and was very pleasant but not very experienced. In comparison the next day we had a terrific tour via Japan Tours at less cost $300. So, I communicated with Viator to get some sort of partial refund which we believed we were entitled to. Their response was no. This whole experience left a bad taste in our mouths.

Brian is an amazing guide! He is extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and very accommodating with our schedule! He is fully fluent English/Japanese which was very helpful as we navigated the transit system and streets of Tokyo. He brought us to the best locations to see the Cherry Blossom trees which was a very special and unique experience. We feel very fortunate to have met Brain and do this tour!

This is a fraud.. Viator should investigate deeply and return my money. 1) it is impossible to cover the promised iternary even by God by public transport 2. I tried to cover it by taxi by spending more than 50 USD even then I could cover only two attractions. 3 The food provided from seven eleven and asked to eat on the bench on the footpath 4. Guide is a good guy but he never did this tour earlier .. he has no idea what is this tour about.. he was told only one day earlier about the tour 5. Request Viator to investigate and return my money 6.. These fraudulent operations spoil your good reputation Please take it seriously and investigate 🙏🙏
Please return my phone calls. I am so sorry you did not understand the difference between 'suggested places' and 'itinerary' You had a list of 14 places to go at the opposite end of the city.....in 4 hours! What could we do - hire a helicopter and fly over the list of places you wanted to 'visit'? Your guide Brian has lived in Tokyo with his Japanese wife for 16 years - is this not enough?
