The tour was cancelled less than 2 hours before the start time. Massively disappointing as it said it would only be cancelled if less than 2 people were booked - we were a family of 5! Left us at a loose end for the afternoon - TERRIBLE
I enjoy food tours when I am traveling, and I can honestly say that this Oslo experience was one of the best. There was a wide variety of food offerings, and the portions were generous. Everyone in our group enjoyed the food and the special drink at the end. Our guide was exceptional--not only friendly but with a wealth of information to share.
Guide never showed up. I have already asked for a refund - check your records.
Good guide, value for money mediocre
The food portions were amazing but I was expecting a little history with the walking. It was basically just a food tour. The guide was a bit unorganized—so we waited around a lot.
Left something to be desired. The food itself was good, and had it been paired with some history or even explanation of the food itself, could have been great. Our guide Francisco didn’t seem to have a good handle on time—we spent an hour at the first stop, and then he had to leave us before the tour was finished to go start another tour because we were running so late—4 hours total. The food didn’t seem to be prepared ahead of time, and we spent a lot of time waiting and just wondering what was going on. We’ve been on a lot of good tours, and this wasn’t really even in the ballpark of what we expected.
Francisco was an excellent guide. We had only 2 on the tour, so his being an excellent conversationalist filled the time between and during the 3+ hours walking and eating at 4 locations. Food was fresh and tasty at all stops. Portions add up to a meal and a half so come hungry. Good spacing between stops and a slower pace for us mid60 year olds, especially since it was uphill throughout the tour until the last stop. Our one recommendation would be a different beer stop focused on Norwegian made products.
Go hungry - you’re very well fed! Francisco, our guide, was very informative and an extrovert. Loved exploring different parts of the city and the food adventure was exciting, along with the beer flight at the end and the scintillating company.
Looking for a comfortable walk, great food and guide. Get your bearings around beautiful Oslo off to a fabulous start. Highly recommend. Make sure you go on an empty stomach, there is ample food to satisfy any hunger.
The food on the tour was excellent however the guide was kinda useless. All he did was take us to the places. He knew nothing about the food, how it was prepared. Could have just given us the restaurants and did the tour myself.
