Our Guide made it super easy to get in through security, get our tickets and he took us right to the main entrance to the museum
Thrre are multiple tours through the Vatican Museums, all ending with the Sustine Chapel. The tour guide was attentive and provided a goog overview to the sculptures and paintings we encountered. i highly recommend this tour.
Disappointed - we were early to the allocated meeting point and first contact was with a guy who tried to say that we had booked an unguided tour and then tried to upsell us to a more expensive option. He then spoke to a guy who was sitting on his phone. Who said to us ‘come on let’s go’ he then proceeded to take us past all the lines in silence while he continued to text on his phone! We were then taken to an official tour point and told that this was the tour. We were handed head sets and added to the back of a tour that had already started. We missed bits of crucial information regarding the Sistine Chapel. All in all we felt a little lost. The tripadvisor explanation did not really explain the situation well. I could not recommend. This tour is not appropriate for children. It is unlikely they will enjoy it.
Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are sorry to read that your experience did not meet your expectations. However, we would like to clarify that the situation you described does not reflect how our tours are conducted. None of our staff would tell guests they had booked an unguided tour in order to upsell another option, nor would any member of our team escort guests while using their phone or join an already-started tour. Our procedure is to welcome guests at the meeting point, verify the booking, provide all necessary information, and ensure they join the tour from the beginning. It is possible that there was some confusion at the meeting point, as several tour operators gather in the same area. If this happened, we sincerely regret the misunderstanding. Regarding the suitability for children, this information is clearly indicated in the tour description, as the experience is primarily designed for visitors interested in the history, art, and culture of the Vatican. We appreciate your feedback and wish you all the best in your future travels.
We upgraded out tickets to include a guide because is was so crowded that we didn’t feel we could navigate by ourseleves. The guide was very good full is history. The skip the line option is worthwhile. Our only complaint was the quality on the headsets.
It is a scam what Viator charges you for not providing anything. Buy the tickets directly at the Vatican for €28 and wait 15 minutes or less in line during peak season. I paid $320 for 4 people to have someone wait for me with the printed tickets and place me in the line that I also had to wait in. It is a shame DO NOT HIRE THEM
Esigo la rimozione perché totalmente falsa ed ingannevole
This tour was fantastic, our guide was very informed and really helped us navigate all the treasures of the Vatican museum. Of course the Sistine Chapel was the star.
Quick easy experience. Fair price. Great tour by guide
The guide was helpful getting us through the lines and into the museum, and navigating the entry process for us.
Great experience! Easy meet up and easy entry. ALWAYS worth it to skip the line. These guys are friendly and efficient.
We did the English-speaking tour and our guide was fantastic! She was very enthusiastic and made it engaging. Tour was about an hour and fifteen minutes
