The uber driver dropped...

The uber driver dropped us at the stairs but it’s an actual office. Make sure you put it on your map to find the office! The check-was really quick and easy. It is VERY hot during the summer so I recommend bringing water and fan. We had a great time at the Vatican. Very beautiful!!

Notworth the money

The Museum is very hot, corded and loud . We could no hear the tour guide at all. Most of our group did not last, We stayed until the end as the guide was working hard to get us through, but I would not pay for this again and I would not do the museum. Skp to St. Peters and climb to the top of the dome and see all of the Vatican.

Meeting point waiting time.

Bit of a faff meeting the guide and waiting for all of the party to assemble. Quickly through the queues though.

Operator response

Thank you very much for taking the time to share your experience with us. We’re sorry if the meeting and assembly process felt a little busy or involved some waiting. We always do our very best to accommodate everyone while ensuring that our tours depart on time, with check-in beginning promptly 15 minutes before the scheduled departure. During the high season, our meeting point can occasionally become quite busy with several guests arriving at the same time. We’re very pleased to hear that, once everything was organized, you were able to get through the queues quickly and enjoy the benefit of the priority access. Thank you again for your patience and for choosing to visit with us!

Challenging on a hot day

The most challenging part of the visit was that you couldn’t arrive at the booking office or go into it until 15 minutes befor the start time of the booking, so you had to be outside in the heat. Then after the roll call the guides sent you back outside to wait in the heat for them to come. Would have been good to have just allowed all the people to stay inside the air-conditioned office until it was time to go. The Vatican is huge and much to our dismay, there is no air-conditioning in most of the areas. It is extremely interesting and many hours could be spent there on a cooler day. It does go on and on and there is the risk that you just keep moving forward quickly to get to the Sistine Chapel . The Chapel was a disappointment, because we were told it was a sacred space and no one was able to talk. It was packed with people and so noisy the day we were there. It also didn’t seem like a chapel at all as it was just an empty room. Not what I expected.

Operator response

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We are sorry that the waiting process felt uncomfortable, particularly given the high temperatures that day. For safety reasons, there is a maximum number of guests that we are permitted to accommodate inside our office at any one time. These capacity regulations must always be respected, especially during busy periods. Nevertheless, we regret that, due to the organizational requirements at that particular moment, you were asked to wait outside before departure, and we understand that this was not ideal in the summer heat. Regarding the temperature, lack of air conditioning, crowds, and general conditions inside the Vatican Museums, these are managed exclusively by the Vatican and are unfortunately beyond our control as an external tour operator. The same applies to the conditions inside the Sistine Chapel, including the number of visitors, noise levels, and the rules regarding silence and explanations inside the Chapel. These are established and managed directly by the Vatican Museums, and our guides and staff are required to respect them. We genuinely appreciate your feedback, particularly regarding the aspects of the experience that are within our control, and we will certainly take your observations into consideration. We hope that, despite the challenging conditions, you were still able to appreciate the remarkable history and artworks of the Vatican.

Of course you’ll want to...

Of course you’ll want to go to the Sistine Chapel. Our tour guide warned us that people will all be shoving each other trying to get the perfect picture, and this is true. Expect it to be very busy here. You’ll like spend only 5-7 minutes in the chapel itself. Also note that there are many other beautiful ceilings throughout the museum, and hundreds of other works of art, tapestries, statues, etc. to see and admire.

Operator response

Thank you for sharing your impressions and these helpful observations for future visitors! The Vatican Museums are home to an extraordinary collection that extends far beyond the Sistine Chapel, and we’re glad you had the opportunity to appreciate the beautiful galleries, ceilings, tapestries, sculptures, and artworks along the way. Visitor numbers and the time spent inside the Sistine Chapel can vary depending on the conditions within the Museums, particularly during peak periods. We truly appreciate you taking the time to leave your review and hope your visit gave you many wonderful memories to take home.
