Your guide will bring the collections to life with stories and insights along the way. If you select the ticket-only option, your host will escort you to the entrance and you will then visit the museums independently.
Discover the Cortile della Pigna, a striking open-air courtyard named after its monumental bronze pinecone.
Discover the Vatican Pinacoteca, home to an extraordinary collection of paintings by masters such as Raphael, Leonardo da Vinci, and Caravaggio. Please note that this section is not always included in the tour, as the itinerary may vary depending on the visitor flow inside the Museums.
Discover the Pio Clementino Museum, home to the celebrated Laocoön masterpiece, whose dramatic beauty is said to have inspired Michelangelo.
Visit the Gregorian Etruscan Museum and explore a fascinating collection of artifacts that reveal the rich history and culture of the ancient Etruscan civilization. Please note that this section is not always included in the Guided Tour option, as the itinerary may vary depending on the visitor flow inside the Museums.

Please note that this section is not always included in the Guided Tour option, as the itinerary may vary depending on the visitor flow inside the Museums.
Your experience continues with a visit to the Sistine Chapel, one of the world’s most famous and awe-inspiring landmarks. As the chapel is a place of worship, silence and respectful behavior are required during the visit. Seeing it in person is a truly unforgettable highlight of any Vatican experience.
IF OPTION SELECTED: Your experience culminates at St. Peter’s Basilica, a masterpiece of Renaissance architecture. From the Sistine Chapel, your guide will lead you through a reserved fast-track entrance to the church, avoiding the usual long lines. Converting friendly guide, who gave us a lot of nice information during the tour. And the slip-the-line worked very well!

It’s also great to know that the skip-the-line access worked smoothly and made your visit easier and more enjoyable. We truly appreciate your feedback and hope to welcome you again!
Our guide, Alex, was so knowledgeable and engaging. His subtle humor landed. We had a great time and learned a lot. It was easy to find the office, the ear pieces worked well. All of it was better than expected. We saw the museums, Sistine chapel and the cathedral. It was well worth it!!!
Thank you so much for your fantastic review! We’re delighted that Alex’s knowledge, engaging style, and subtle sense of humor made the experience both enjoyable and informative. It’s also wonderful to hear that everything, from finding our office to the headsets and organization, ran smoothly and exceeded your expectations. Knowing that you found the complete experience through the Museums, Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter’s Basilica so worthwhile means a lot to us. We’ll be very happy to share your kind words with Alex!
Alex was an awesome guide. He was very knowledgeable and passionate about telling the history behind this tour. He was considerate in that we were made aware of what to expect during the tour including details like washroom breaks, water stops, and keeping us together, and in the shade where possible.
Thank you so much for your thoughtful review! We’re delighted that Alex’s knowledge and passion for history made the tour so engaging. We especially appreciate you highlighting the care he took with the practical details — from keeping everyone informed and together to planning water and restroom breaks and finding shade whenever possible. Those small touches can make such a difference, especially during a busy day at the Vatican. We’ll be very happy to share your kind words with Alex!
Very expensive for what it is. The guide was very good, provided the necessary information, but they rush you through the museums and you don't have time to properly appreciate what they are "showing" you.
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re pleased to hear that you appreciated the guide and the quality of the information provided. We understand your feeling regarding the pace; the Vatican Museums are extremely extensive, and a guided visit must balance the available time with the main highlights, especially during busy periods. We appreciate your comments and will keep them in mind as we continue improving our guests’ experience.

This morning we had a guided tour with Julia! She was wonderful ! Informative, funny and had a lot of great interesting stories! The three hours passed too quickly! Wish we could have had more time to learn more!
Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re delighted to hear that Julia made your three-hour tour feel as though it passed far too quickly — there’s hardly a better compliment for a guide! Her mix of knowledge, humor, and fascinating stories is such a special part of the experience. One of the hottest and busiest days at the Vatican, and thanks to our tour guide, Alex, our visit to the Vatican and Sistene Chapel was effortless and unforgettable. We arrived at check in and you never really know what to expect. There were multiple groups waiting to be called for their tours, and we were all just trying to enjoy the fan and AC in the reception area as respite from the oppressive outdoors. The staff inside were unflappable and soon we were whisked away across the road with our group, introduced to Alex, our guide, and given the essential earpiece and receivers so we could constantly hear him throughout the tour. He took us through the line (a fast moving one through the dedicated tour entrance- yes you still have some lines in this skip the line, but you ARE indeed skipping the worst lines). I’d note that our guide kept us informed about what was coming next through the initial rush through the security, the ticket stands, and the lobby. Very calm, always entertaining with a good degree of irreverence. There was a kind of running bit about the challenging task that WE together had ahead of us given the day we’d chosen in terms of crowds and heat, but he never lost his positivity, and I think the rest of us felt the same, rather unbothered by the procedural aspects of getting in and started. Once inside, he moved us swiftly but reverently through the museum towards our eventual stop at the Sistene Chapel, which he devoted a solid amount of time in advance to prepare us for the highlights of this magnificent monument, with a storyteller’s flair with a dose of realism and humour. I will also note that he seemed to take time to speak directly to each of us through the tour, at various times, again adding that personal connection. Also, he seemed right with the staff of the museum, and would say managed to work a little magic getting us a quicker bypass entrance into the chapel. I did not see another group allowed down our side hallway. I’m sure some others did, likely another from our tour company. But it speaks to their reputation and relationships with the venue. Anyways, the sights were spectacular, and the host humble and engaging. Could not have had a better time. Would recommend exclusively this company to anyone I know coming here in the future.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a detailed and thoughtful review. Knowing that Alex managed to make your Vatican experience feel effortless, engaging, and personal despite the exceptional heat and crowds means a great deal to us. We especially loved reading how his calm approach, humor, storytelling, and constant communication helped turn what could have been an overwhelming day into such a memorable visit. The fact that he took time to connect individually with members of the group is exactly the kind of experience we hope our guides can provide. We’re equally grateful for your kind words about our check-in team and their organization during such a busy day. Your recommendation of Inside Out Italy to future visitors is an incredible compliment to our entire team. Thank you again for choosing us and for sharing your experience in such detail. We’ll make sure Alex and the rest of the team receive your wonderful feedback!
