It was nicely balanced with the sharing of some dates and descriptors of the many sites that were introduced to us. Our guide was Salma, who although not french by birth really brought Rouens history to life on our guided tour. Taking in the wonderful architecture in the centre of town to the Churches and sharing the goulish history of L’ aître Saint-Maclou in Rouen, in 1348 the Black Death killed around three quarters of Saint-Maclou’s citizens.
