MARIO our very knowledgeable guide kept us entertained with the history of this astounding civilization. Much larger and more advanced than I could have ever imagined. Marco did not rush thru his presentation and answered all our questions. Parents bringing offspring younger than 18 years old are asking too much of them for a tour of this length. Thank you MARIO!
Yolanta was our guide, and I would highly recommend her. She was exceedingly knowledgeable and entertaining. She was able to provide concrete answers to questions and had a wonderful grasp of the background of the area. She kept our tour group moving along and made the experience enjoyable. I appreciated that she gauged our knowledge of Pompeii and upon learning I had been before, made a point of providing a novel experience. I have to say, having been twice before (which were also very educational), most of what Yolanta shared was information I had not heard before. Her expertise truly shine through in Pompeii. Make sure you know which train station you’re getting off at in Pompeii and at which entrance your meeting point is.
Yolanda was our guide and she was extremely informative and helpful with all the questions from the group. I really loved the details she pointed out as we made our way around Pompeii. Our tour started at 2pm, it was very hot, but she made sure to stop in areas of shade to make us more comfortable.
Alexandra was a fantastic guide! Incredibly knowledgeable and enjoyable to listen to. Learned so much about Pompei that I didn’t know previously!
Lots of walking up and down uneven sidewalks, but 100% worthwhile for the money. Continue the your on your own after the tour guide departs to get the most out of Pompeii. The plaster cast hallway and both amphitheaters are well worth the extra time (1 hiour) and steps. If you can get Antonella as your guide through Askos Tours, you will be in good hands. She was very friendly and knowledgeable having participated in Archeological digs of Pompeii personally.
A magical day in Pompei , a tour in history. Reverence. A walk in the ruins of history that we did not want to end, even though it was a hot day. We had an excellent guide archaeologist, Giulia. She was extraordinary, she made the tour extremely interesting with the info she gave us. Bravissima Giulia! During the tour you are gonna see the top sites of Pompei. Afterwards me and my mom went to the Orto of Fuggiaschi. Do not miss Pompei! and hopefully do not miss this tour!
Charlotte was a wonderful tour guide. She was extremely knowledgeable and personable and spent 2 hours explaining the history of Pompeii and really brought it to life. We are a family of 4 with 2 teenagers and we all enjoyed it immensely.
This experience was amazing! I would highly recommend it to anyone who is able to visit Pompeii. Our guide was great and the tour was fascinating. We learned so much and were able to take that information and really recognize what we were seeing as we walked around the ruins on our own the rest of the afternoon. This was one of our favorite experiences of our whole Italy trip!
The tour was well organized and our guide knew a lot about the history of Pompeii. This tour is worth it and book early in the morning to avoid the heat.
The 2 hour tour was a perfect length. Paola was a knowledgeable guide and provided good insight into what we were viewing and the historical context surrounding it.
