Pompeii & Mt. Vesuvius
Both of my guides were great and I enjoyed both tours because of them.
I did the Pompeii ruins tour first and the guide was very informative and enthusiastic about the history as she was an archeologist herself (I don't remember her name unfortunately). She managed to take us through the majority of the ruins within 2 hours, and answered all of my questions. She made the tour much more enjoyable.
Then I had the Mt. Vesuvius tour with Mario and he was great! He shared a lot of interesting facts about the volcano and surrounding area, and he even suggested places to visit in Naples. Both guides were lovely and made the experience that much more enjoyable. I would definitely recommend both of them!

Walking through time
Pompeii is an experience like no other. It was very crowded and seemed liked organized chaos, but our guide Paulo was wonderful. He was great at taking us away from the large crowds and showing us the highlights while also giving us some perspective of what life was like for the citizens before the eruption. 2hours was probably not enough but it was hot and crowded so we were happy to leave. The second half of our excursion was hiking up Vesuvius, being avid hikers it was enjoyable for us but was challenging for some folks. Again our guide was personable and very informative. We had a great group of people which also made it enjoyable!

Mario and our bus driver did an amazing job driving us around and sharing interesting information about all the places we visited. They were both friendly, helpful, and made the journey really enjoyable.
In Pompeii, Marelyn was also fantastic. She did an excellent job explaining what we were seeing and pointing out all the interesting and fascinating details throughout the ruins. Her knowledge and enthusiasm made the visit even more enjoyable.
Overall, a great experience with a wonderful team. Highly recommended!

Amazing and unforgettable experience
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Amazing Experience at Mount Vesuvius
Our visit to Mount Vesuvius was truly one of the highlights of our trip, and our guide made the experience even more special.
He was knowledgeable, friendly, patient, and incredibly easy to communicate with. We learned so much about the volcano, its history, and the surrounding area, but what I appreciated most was the personal touch. Our guide was attentive to our needs, answered all of our questions, and made us feel comfortable and welcome throughout the entire experience.
What really stood out was the passion and enthusiasm our guide brought to the tour. It never felt like we were simply being given facts—it felt like we were sharing the experience with someone who genuinely loves the place and enjoys helping others discover it.
I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area. A wonderful guide, a beautiful experience, and a memory we will take with us for a long time. Thank you for making our visit to Mount Vesuvius so memorable! ❤️

We would recommend...
We would recommend booking the experience with the archeologist. Alfredo was very in depth and made Pompeii a memorable experience we will remember for a lifetime. Vesuvius was also a great time. Although the climb was tough, it was worth the views at the top. Mario was a top notch hiking guide.

Pompeii
A 3 hour tour only covers about 15% of the site. It covers many hectares. Bring water, sunscreen and hat or sun umbrella because it is hot in July.

History and geography combined!
Very informative tour of Pompei with Paolo (definitely an expert on the history of the site) and he guided us through a couple of sections of the site with a very dry wit. Have learnt a lot!
The climb to the crater of Mt Vesuvius was a real highlight and the views were spectacular. Mario was an excellent guide, and has a love for the geography of the region which he shared.
The tour was in two distinct sections and there was plenty of time for a lunch break in between. Bring plenty of water and be prepared for Pompei to be hot!

Fascinating history and amazing views
The tour was excellent - Tonia (Tonya) did an amazing job explaining the ruins, the history, and ancient homes. As for the hike up Mt Vesuvius, yes there was some effort to walk up (the bus takes you around half way up), but Mario made the trip fun and exciting explaining things along the way to give us a few much needed breaks. The views near the top were just unreal!!
