Amazing tour. Sergio was very knowledgeable about the sight and gave really good insight into Pompeii. Length was amazing and he was able to then tell us where to go to see key points once the tour had ended. Only issue was a slightly delayed start due to some people showing up late. Other than that would definitely book again.
The visit to Pompeii with the archaeologist guide Grazia D’Onofrio was a truly unforgettable experience. Grazia is very talented, very well-prepared, and, above all, deeply passionate: she managed to convey all her enthusiasm to us, making us experience Pompeii not simply as an archaeological site, but as a living city. In those two hours, she enchanted us, accompanying us on a real dive into the past, to the point of making us imagine being there, in the time of the Romans, among the streets, the houses, and the stories of those who lived in the city before the eruption. The two hours literally flew by! And we realized that one day is certainly not enough to discover all the wonders of this extraordinary site. We will definitely return for a longer visit, once again with Grazia, because Pompeii deserves to be discovered calmly and with someone capable of telling its story with such competence and passion. An experience I absolutely recommend!
Allesandra Sena was an amazing guide
The guide Camillo Sorrentino proved to be knowledgeable and helpful, making us appreciate the history and anecdotes related to the priceless cultural heritage represented by Pompeii.
Sergio was amazing! He taught us so much without information overload. Without him we would have been lost
Michele Maria Lamberti was our guide and he gave an excellent tour of the archaeological site. Pompei is very large and It was very helpful to have an archeologist to navigate to the most interesting sites and to explain the culture and stories behind what we were seeing. He made the city come to life and provided so much interesting and helpful information. It definitely enhanced our time in Pompei.
Our guide, I believe her name was Lori, was absolutely phenomenal. If you’re lucky enough to have her as your guide, you’re in for an unforgettable experience. Coming from a family of archaeologists, her passion and knowledge were evident from the very beginning. She didn’t just recite facts - she truly brought Pompeii to life. She painted such a vivid picture of what daily life was like before the eruption that it felt as though we were walking through a living city rather than ancient ruins. Of course, she explained the eruption itself in fascinating detail, but what really stood out was how she shared the smaller, often overlooked details about the people who lived there - their homes, customs, businesses, relationships and everyday routines. Those insights transformed the experience from simply looking at old buildings into understanding the lives of the people who once called Pompeii home. Her enthusiasm was infectious, and she struck the perfect balance between being incredibly knowledgeable and genuinely engaging. Time flew by because every stop revealed another fascinating story or detail that made us see Pompeii in a completely new way. This was one of the highlights of our trip to Italy, and that’s entirely thanks to Lori. She is a credit to her profession, and I can’t recommend her highly enough. Thank you for making history feel so alive!
If u was to do it again it wouldn't be in July unbearable hit. Out guide was ok. But the audio technology needs to be upgrade. I could barely hear especially when the guide got to far ahead. At some points we felt very rushed and had a hard time keeping up.
Paulo was very knowledgeable about the area and made the tour very interesting! I think a tour is the best way to experience Pompeii!
An excellent tour with Liana. She was informative, clear and kept us all together.
