The eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in 79 C.E. was a paradoxical thing: it was truly cataclysmic but it also yielded to history one of the most extensive and intact ruins of an ancient city. That settlement was Pompeii. The spectacular ruins are one of Italy’s most visited sites, so queues are long but not if you’ve got a skip-the-line ticket! When Vesuvius erupted life in Pompeii perished in an instant. What you see today lends an extraordinary win-dow into life in Roman times. With over 50 hectares to explore, you can walk around the Forum with Vesuvius in the back-ground or sit under a tree and marvel at the spectacular amphitheater. There are remnants of the all-important aqueduct, street fountains, public baths, private houses, businesses, statues, fre-scoes, as well as hundreds of haunting plaster casts of lava-fried locals!

Yeah, sure. Easy to find, even if the place looks curious (a tent)
The video before the visit was very good with a Guide speaking French (when it was not planned), very nice and very knowledgeable about Pompeii. We just regretted not being able to record the video of the disaster. We were able to visit places without too many people, and far from where guides take tourists for a 2h visit. We spent 5:30. Very happy.

Wish had more time
I tour started late and there was no virtual tour. I told them I reserved with the virtual tour and they said no. Also tour ended within 1.5 hours. Guide did show us all the important locations, but was in a hurry.

First do the video tour
Well organized by these driendly guys.
Do take the time to do the video tour before going into Pompeï. If you do, you will understand what it's all about.
Don't look for the office by the police station, but across the street. There is an booth by the green sign with the ice cream.

Very well.
I was in Pompeii for the first time in my life. Fantastic experience. Great Welcoming from the staff. They gave me the audio guide and walked me to the entrance. It's all right.

Overpriced and obsolete!
Overpriced and lack of service! There’s no value for customer. Instead of easy access it’s just the contrary. Why don’t you organize better and avoid that your customers have to walk from one entry to the other (1,6 km)??
Please, TripAdvisor, check the quality of those offers.
Operator response
Dear Customer,
it is correct on Pompei there are more the one entrance but on the voucher is mentioned the proper meeting point (Piazza di Porta Marina Inferiore,11) which is next to the entrance of the site where you can collect tickets and audioguide. From August 6th all participants who are over 12 years old must present one of the following: proof of full vaccination, proof of first vaccination administered at least 15 days ago, proof of a Covid-19 infection in the past 6 months, or a negative test taken no more than 48 hours before the activity starts: if someone miss this document can do the test in another place (it is correct is another entrance but it is not the meeting point) so you don’t lose the entrance. The staff informed you that you could have received the tickets after the test, obviously showing up again at the meeting point.
Best regards,
