Cooking experience was awesome
If you are looking for a fun way to connect with food, DO THIS!!! We went to the evening hands on demonstration and were there for 3 hours and it was amazing. Chef Austin was not only knowledgeable but he was funny and engaging and we can’t wait for more of our family members to do this! We are locals (anlmost everyone else were tourists) but the size of the class was perfect and everyone was so nice. The meal and wine were DELICIOUS!!! You won’t be disappointed! My daughter in law gifted this and it was the PERFECT gift for Christmas, birthday, etc.
That means so much to us! We love when our locals come out to support us. Thank you!
The class was great. Chef Erick did a good job. We have done quite a few similar classes and this was as good or better than any others. The meal that we prepared was fantastic- can’t wait to get home and try the recipes.
We are so happy you enjoyed your time here! Let us know how it turns out!
Chef Eric was humorous, personal, and informative. There were 6 of us in this class. We made bbq shrimp with cheese grits, chicken and andouille gumbo, and banana foster with crepes and fire and ice cream. Lots of fun with chef, the cleanup staff, and other participants. Total time was over three hours to prep and cook the entrees, then eat our efforts, cook the banana foster and crepes. The chef provided the ice cream, rum and fire. All 6 of us had an enjoyable time. My wife and are including another class there when we return to New Orleans.
We took the Hands-On: Chicken and Andouille Gumbo, Gulf Fish with Brown Butter Amandine, Gulf Crab, served with Pecan Rice. Bananas foster with chef Renee. The chef was engaging, sharing local history related to each dish and fun personal stories. He divided his time between each group and facilitated our getting to know everyone. We had fun and learned a lot both about how to best prepare each dish and local restaurants to try and sites to see. Most important: our dinner tasted amazing and we have the recipes and tips to replicate it at home.
I am so glad that you will create it back at home! Have fun with it!
It was a lot of fun and we’d recommend the class! The host was knowledgeable and added to the experience! We may be going back for a hands on brunch class.
So much fun. Chef Greg was an amazing instructor. Food options were delicious and the beer/wine really topped it off. Highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting NOLA.
Chef Greg is incredible. I am so glad you got to spend the afternoon with him.
I’m not any kind of a chef or cook, but she was slow and explaining the instructions. It was a fun alternative, to the regular type tours we take.
Leslie, We are so glad you recognized that this class is for anyone who enjoys a good time and a good meal! Cheers!
Absolutely a must! What a great way to learn how to make authentic cuisine! Instructors were very patient and extremely helpful! We made a delicious meal!
