Good tines and even better food

It was a very enjoyable experience . Cheif Connor was a great host . He showed extraordinary patience even thou we were running a few minutes late . He never made us feel like he was rushing us . He made the experience feel like we were back at home just with someone in our kitchen walking us through the process. The food we made was impressive , the taste and amount of left overs made our day . We were unable to eat more later on that night due to us still being full from this meal . I was impressed with the second course meal barbecue shrimp. It was served on sourdough bread po boy style. My wife is against any seafood that is served on bread .she ate it after tasting the sauce made . ( it was just that good) the future plan is to return and repeat the experience in the near future it was just that good .my words of advice " if you are on the fence about trying it , just do it , you will enjoy and have delicious food in the process ". Tell next time

Operator response

**Thank you so much for this incredible review, Joseph.** We’re thrilled that you and your wife had such an enjoyable experience — your description truly captures the heart of what we hope every guest feels. Chef Connor will be so grateful for your kind words. His patience, warmth, and ability to make the kitchen feel like home are exactly why guests love cooking with him. We’re glad his approach helped you settle in, even with the late start, and made the whole experience feel relaxed and welcoming. It’s wonderful to hear how much you enjoyed the dishes — especially that barbecue shrimp po’ boy. Winning over someone who *never* eats seafood on bread is a serious compliment, and that sauce really is something special. And those leftovers keeping you full all night? That’s the New Orleans way. Your advice is spot‑on: if someone’s on the fence, just do it. Delicious food and a great time are waiting. We can’t wait to welcome you both back for another memorable experience.

Nice experience

Mark was our instructor and he did a good job. I was expecting to see some black instructors, since that is what was depicted on the advertisement at the time that I booked, however I didn’t. Perhaps they weren’t scheduled for that day… nonetheless, it was an experience that me, my sister and boyfriend enjoyed a lot.

Operator response

**Thank you for sharing this thoughtful feedback,.** We’re so glad you, your sister, and your boyfriend enjoyed the class and had a great experience with Mark — he’ll appreciate hearing that he did a good job. We also hear and appreciate your note about instructor representation. Our team includes a diverse group of chefs, and scheduling can vary day‑to‑day, but your expectation based on the advertisement is completely understandable. Feedback like yours helps us make sure what we show publicly matches what guests may experience when they arrive. We’re grateful you still had a memorable time together, and we hope to welcome you back for another class soon.

Ray was fantastic! We were thinking 3 hours might be long after a day of site seeing but Ray made the time fly by with his stories, cooking knowledge and overall fun nature. Learned some cooking tips, meet some great people and enjoyed the hands on experience. Fantastic food with wonderful flavors and great venue. Highly recommend. See you in South Dakota on the Harley soon Ray!

* Fun, Delicious, and Worth Every Minute

This was a fantastic experience! We both love to cook and have made gumbo, jambalaya, etc. before, but we decided to do this for fun and pick up a few tips and tricks. Chef Sassy was great. She taught us cooking techniques as well as some local history and methods. We learned the difference between Cajun and Creole cooking, and the end results were simply delicious. We started by making chocolate chip bread pudding. I’m not usually a big bread pudding fan, but this version was decadent, especially with the chocolate brandy sauce. We also made Cajun jambalaya and BBQ shrimp—absolutely delicious. One of the best parts was that we got to enjoy the food we prepared while sipping wine and beer throughout the class. It was an intimate, hands-on experience with only one other couple, who were fun and conversational. We enjoyed their company as well as Chef Sassy’s. Highly recommend! Sassy even shared some of her favorite restaurant recommendations in the city, which was a great bonus. A wonderful way to learn about New Orleans cuisine while enjoying a memorable afternoon.

Guidance from a Professional Creole Chef!

The best 2-3 hours spent in the French Quarter. We felt at home from the get-go and really learned a lot while having fun and enjoying an awesome meal! Chef Mark was very helpful and gave us many tips about prep, ingredients, and spices. In addition, he recommended some Creole and Seafood restaurants in NOLA that were spectacular!

Operator response

We are grateful Chef Mark provided excellent guidance and tips! Thrilled you enjoyed the experience and meal in the French Quarter.
