Listen to grisly tales of witchcraft, torture and restless spirits as you venture down medieval closes and descend into the haunted Blair Street Underground Vaults of Edinburgh on this ghost tour. Hear the distant clatter of workmen and whispers of criminals as you’re immersed in the atmosphere of the past. As night thickens, we’ll gather together in Megget’s Cellar for a whisky — or locally-made beer or soft drink. Lose yourself in the cries and taunts of a once-roaring crowd of thousands, baying for the blood of two men. Take your place as a member of the “Edinburgh mob”, which once surged in riot past the Mercat Cross (our meeting point for the evening).

Listen to grisly tales of witchcraft, torture and restless spirits as you venture down medieval closes and descend into the haunted Blair Street Underground Vaults of Edinburgh on this ghost tour. This was an incredibly fun tour. I highly recommend it. Our guide was so much fun and her ghost stories were well told.

Spooky lively visit!
As a French couple, the visit was very accessible. Sophie, our guide, was extraordinary! She really managed to adapt her visit and to make it lively!

Only had 2 nights - definitely recommend
We learned some Royal Mile history in addition to the ghostly and witchy stories. We only had two nights in Edinburgh and were glad we made time for this tour. The whiskey was a nice touch. Slàinte!

This was one of the best tours we did! Sophie is a fantastic storyteller and guide. It was a wonderful way to end our trip!

Ghosts and Ghouls of Edinburgh
Our tour guide Bo did a great job telling the stories of the ghosts , ghouls and body snatchers of Edinburgh. The story about the vaults was interesting and we enjoyed visiting them. It was an unexpected treat to be offered whisky and soft drinks after our tour. Bo was very knowledgeable and presented the information in the right tone to keep it very interesting.

Highly recommend for excellent storytelling
Max led our group and demonstrates genuine enthusiasm for and mastery of the history of the area and is a skilled storyteller to boot. This tour is not for people looking for jump scares. It will delight people who like a bit of spine tingling with their history lessons. My phone died while we were organizing at Mercat Cross, so I did not get to take any photos. Shortly after leaving the venue at the tour conclusion, I noticed my double-knotted shoelace was untied. I subsequently set a new personal best time speedwalking back to the hotel.

We did the Ghosts and Ghouls tour and it was great. Our guide Sophie was amazing. @Sophie I really thought you would tell us you were a witch at the end because you told us not to follow the wit h, yet we followed you :)

Atmospheric, creepy, and a brilliant 5-star look at the Edinburgh vaults
Best ghost tour experience I’ve ever had. Had an absolutely fantastic afternoon learning so much new information about this amazing city and the paranormal stories of the vaults. I certainly wasn’t expecting to see or hear anything at all when I went into it, but came out with a possible ghost photo, weird footsteps in the vaults and a giant scratch up my lower back. The tour guide, Annabel, was super friendly, helpful and really funny too, which made the experience that much better. 10/10, would definitely come back and would recommend to anyone who wants to learn about the beautiful history of Edinburghs underground and loves the paranormal like me.
