The tour departs at 07:40 AM, 10:40 AM, or 01:40 PM (depending on the selected option) from Union Square or Fisherman’s Wharf (depending on your departure time). For the bike tour, you will start from Bay City Bike Store at 2661 Taylor St, San Francisco, CA 94133, where you'll receive your bike and begin your journey towards the bridge. Departing the heart of Union square, the coach makes its way to the Golden Gate Bridge. On your way to the Golden Gate Bridge, travelers will see: Union Square: Theatres, shopping, hotels.
Famous for being used as a firebreak by the US Army during the 1906 earthquake and fire.
A scenic waterfront neighborhood known for its views of the Golden Gate Bridge, upscale residences, and lively atmosphere.
After crossing the iconic Golden Gate Bridge, you'll have the opportunity to stop for photos at the Golden Gate North Vista Point. This viewpoint offers breathtaking views of the Bridge, Alcatraz Island, and the stunning San Francisco skyline.
After departure, the bus will take you directly to Muir Woods National Monument, where you will have 90 minutes to explore the ancient redwood forest. You will enjoy a peaceful walk through the towering redwoods, taking in the serene beauty of the park. The Bike Tour does not visit Muir Woods first. Instead, Sausalito is visited first, followed by a bus ride to Muir Woods. Step into a magical forest of towering Giant Redwoods (Sequoia Sempervirens) that have stood for centuries. Take in the serene beauty of the ancient trees as you walk along the trails, enjoying 90 minutes to immerse yourself in the tranquility of this national treasure.
After exploring Muir Woods, the bus will take you to Sausalito, a picturesque waterfront town. You will have time to explore local shops, cafes, galleries, and the charming Mediterranean-style village. If you choose the Bike Tour, after riding across the Golden Gate Bridge, you will arrive in Sausalito. After your visit to Sausalito, you will leave your bikes there and hop on a comfortable bus that will transport you to the breathtaking Muir Woods National Park. The bus will pick you up at 2:30 PM from 599 Humboldt Ave (the corner of Humboldt and Bay St).

Great ride to the Muir Woods. Bus driver’s commentary was very informative. Stopped in Sausalito for lunch and took the ferry back. Beautiful day with beautiful views.
It was a great experience! Patrick, our driver, made the trip fun! He told us fun facts and told jokes to pass the time! Patrick took us to a spot for the perfect Golden Gate Bridge photo! He also offered to drop off anyone who wanted to go to Union Square or another out of the way spot to have dinner, etc. He was a super nice man, full of information and perfect for the Big Bus Tour. The tour itself was quite enjoyable since we left the driving to Patrick!

The Muir Woods/ Sausalito tour was great! Highly recommend booking this. Just an FYI, we upgraded to the ferry for our return back and it turns out the ferry takes you back to Pier 1 and not Pier 39. Not a problem for us bc we stopped by the shops/restaurants at Pier 1 and took a Lyft back to our hotel near Pier 39.

Don was our driver and he gave a great commentary on the history and culture of the areas we drove through. Muir Woods was absolutely beautiful, our bus was clean and comfy with an extra large windscreen/roof for viewing. Good options for pick up and drop off. Very happy we did this tour.
