It was built by the Saadian dynasty under the order of Sultan Abdellah al Ghâlib from 1562.
Come and test the real Traditional Moroccan Hammam, a tradition still relevant, during your stay in Marrakech.
Our concept invites you to discover Moroccan culture through our traditional hammam, historic 16th century architecture and authentic dishes in Riad Mouassine.
After the hammam, visitors rest and have tea with authentic Moroccan cakes in Riad Mouassine, a real Riad with fountains in the middle, for a real immersion in the local culture.

Horrible
The worst place I have ever been. I paid 29€ for a hammam and a massage. The woman who performed the hammam on me was very kind, and I felt very comfortable with her. But cleanliness was nowhere to be found; they gave us flip-flops to enter and they were dirty, the towels they used to dry us off were even dirtier. The woman who gave me the massage was another employee, and the massage did not even last 15 minutes of the 30 minutes I paid for. The woman who charged us, I suppose she was the manager, was not pleasant at all, but she did not take long to take the money. DO NOT GO.

An authentic and traditional experience
If you are looking for a fancy, modern spa, this might not be the place. It is one of the oldest hammams in Marrakech, so while the building itself looks a bit aged, it is absolutely clean and all the necessary services are there. The experience feels deeply traditional, and it’s performed by qualified personnel who clearly know exactly what they are doing. A special mention goes to the 30-minute massage: it was really great and, alone, completely worth the money. Highly recommended for an authentic experience!

hammam with spectacular Moroccan women
Fortunately I wasn't put off by the dramatic reviews I'd read! Definitely an untouristy hammam: and this is its charm! the Moroccan ladies are very kind, they do a vigorous scrub and a wash with beautiful soap. I ended up getting a good massage, too. You are lying on the floor, hygiene is definitely not the best, but I would do it again tomorrow! not suitable for those expecting sunbeds, flowers and super nice environment.

Hammam Don't Miss !
Love all Hammam, Turkish bath experiences. This place was authentic. Been there since the 1500's, probably hasn't changed much either. My wife enjoyed her treatment, I enjoyed mine. Good wash with the exfoliating soap, good scrub with the mitt and a decent 30 minute massage. $35.00 worth every penny.

Traditional hammam
Significant differences from the classic Turkish bath. It is an old but cozy property with separate entrance for males and females. The floor is warm and I know it is washed with water at different temperatures. Everything you need is provided, even the disposable costume. You have to lie in the floor, on a mat. There you are treated with clay after rinsing with hot water. Then there is the scrub with glove and soap . finally the toning massage. For 10 € more the massage is 1/2 hour. Cost 17€ for 45 minutes

No frills, 100% sisterhood, felt like a new person
If you expect a luxury spa with rose petals, airy music and soft whispers, this is not the place for you. But if you're fine with very basic decor, lying on the floor and getting thoroughly cleaned and scrubbed by tough mamas, together with other tough mamas, with plastic buckets and cheap towels, then you will love it here.
I definitely did, and it was such a liberating experience to walk in just as one is, without feeling I have to be fancy or look perfect.
I think the ladies here are lovely, I loved the no bs attitude and zero frills around the place. It's a historic hammam, so nothing modern and extravagant, the women's entrance is around a dodgy alley and the place does look rather run-down. But I came out of there feeling like a new person, I don't think I've ever been this clean in my whole life, with a total glow-up, skin looking and feeling fabulous.
I had a basic treatment and a 30-minute massage. I came in around nine in the morning and left after more than two and a half hours, so it was a proper cleaning.
Just as others have written, it was a feeling of sisterhood, of being welcome regardless of background, body type, skin color and whatnot. It felt like a place where women could come and be safe, have fun together, talk, help eachother with the washing and scrubbing and really have some time for themselves.
Thanks to Rachida and Fatima for taking good care of me!

GENUINE AND UNIQUE EXPERIENCE
Local and genuine experience.
Definitely not suitable for picky people or those who have too much modesty but as far as I am concerned diving into their customs has relaxed and embellished me.
Hygienic conditions certainly not at the levels of luxury spas but those looking for the luxury spa certainly do not test a real and genuine experience like this.
Gentile staff and unique experience.
Vigorous and relaxing massage,
Thank you all

Soul restoring through the ages
I had traditional hammam wash and scrub and the most wonderful massage with Khadija Otman.
The hammam itself is ancient and something so special to experience. I burst into tears when the woman scrubbing me sang- a resonant voice that helped me let go. Everyone was beautiful, welcoming and I felt so connected to a global sisterhood that is lacking in the west. Khadijas massage was truly wonderful, I felt held and nurtured by her wonderful hands. Thank you with all my heart. I will always remember this 💖

Don't go there!
Horrible, paid 170 dirahm for the steam room and 220 for massage! A horrible experience
Very ugly steam room, cleared no interest
Massage comes down to random caresses with a edible oil! No isolation with the ladies talking next door! Another customer in the same cabin as me!A nightmare!!!

Sisterhood and love!
I was in this Hammam where they pampered me and I felt reborn.
At the reception I found the very kind Sara and Fatima who immediately welcomed me.
The massage, done by Khadija, relaxed me so much that I almost fell asleep and took away a lot of fatigue.
Women Demma scrubbed and bathed me, with love and dedication.
At the end they invited me to sit with them while I ate the best Tajen I have ever tasted, also made by Khadija. I sang with them and laughed, clapped my hands to the beat and found myself in sisterhood in a way that is increasingly rare in Europe. Thank you for the great experience
