Itinerary
30 min
This food tour takes place in the Heart of Marrakech: The Medina.
On this flavor-packed and mouthwatering experience, you’ll taste your way through Moroccan culture, one bite at a time. Over the years, we’ve crafted and fine-tuned two delightful itineraries — each offering a rich and authentic journey through Marrakech’s culinary soul. Both are equally delicious, deeply local, and crafted with love and utmost care to give you a memorable evening.

Itinerary 1
• Moroccan coconut macaroons – a kids’ favorite sweet treat
• Kaab Ghzal (Gazelle ankles) – a yummy local pastry filled with almond paste aromatized with orange blossom water
• Traditional Harira soup, served with dates & Chebakia – just like how locals break their fasting during Ramadan
• Babbouche (Moroccan snails) – slowly cooked in an aromatic herbal broth
• Authentic mint tea & Msemmen – pan-fried pancakes drizzled with honey and cheese
• Fakya – a festive mix of dried fruits and nuts that is carefully prepared and commonly shared among families & friends during celebrations
• Signature olives of Morocco, from the greens with their creamy smooth texture to the reds tossed in parsley and cilantro
Dinner is served at a cozy local restaurant: fresh Moroccan salad + a hearty Tajine.
For dessert, we’ll offer you Raïb – a homemade yogurt that’s simply divine.
Jemaa el-Fnaa

• Sfenj – tradition Moroccan donuts, golden and crispy on the outside, while airy and chewy inside, one of locals’ favorite street food snacks
• Lhindiya – refreshing cactus fruits, rich in antioxidants and great for cooling down in hot weather
• Rass Mbekher – delicately steamed sheep’s head seasoned with cumin | Sometimes replaced by local Chawarma (Succulent chicken or crispy falafel)
• Panaché – a colorful smoothie made from fresh seasonal fruits
• Khoudenjal – a hot Moroccan herbal infusion made from galangal root, good for digestion and enjoyed as a comforting drink during cold days

Delicious food and great company. Highly recommended.
It was great to spend three hours with our guide Yassir and other like-minded foodies. The group was very friendly, Yassir was very personable and the food and drink we got to try was delicious. It was well worth the money and was the right mix of walking, talking and munching!

Interesting and informative
Our guide led us through many parts of the Medina for tastes of traditional pastry, soup, snails, fast food, snacks, and a meal. He highlighted local vendors, gave tips on how to be a discerning shopper, and relayed history of the Medina. The tour gave us a great introduction to Marrakech.

Authentic tour with lots of food!
The tour was exceptional; wandering around the markets trying local cuisine, then finishing up in a restaurant for a authentic 3 course meal. Me, my partner and my sister left full! I would recommend having a very light lunch because the Moroccans are very generous with their portions! Mohamed Kareem was an awesome guide, very knowledgeable, friendly; answering all of our questions and speaking excellent English. Vegetarian and Allergy (nut allergy) friendly if you have your wits about you and don't mind skipping a couple of the spots. Would recommend 100%.

Arrive hungry!
Our guide took us to a number of places including stalls in the souks and a place a little out of the main path where locals normally eat. We didn't follow either of the itineraries on the TripAdvisor listing, but don't let that put you off!
We got so absorbed that we forgot to take pictures closer to the end, but we had a lot of different styles of food including harira soup, dates, msemen (sweet and savoury), a style of Berber omelette, various olives, shawarma, juice with a mixture of many other juices, Moroccan pastries and a very strong tea at the end made with a load of ingredients.

Fun evening food tour to explore culture of Marrakesh
Medhi our guide was a great guy. The tour was varied and so much food. We couldn’t eat everything that he provided us with. Really great experience to go to places you otherwise wouldn’t go to. Learnt about the food and culture.
