Such a nice experience! Tanaka was the perfect hostess! We had so much fun creating our desserts! She opened her home to us and made us feel so welcomed! Highly recommend!

Great and fun time!

I had a lot of fun with Tanaka. I ended up with a one on one and got to make an extra piece. The instructions were clear and Tanaka was very encouraging. The sculpting is similar to what I would so for clay. Thank you Tanaka!

Operator response

Thank you so much! I’m glad you had fun and enjoyed making the extra piece. It was a pleasure to teach you, and I hope you visit again. Great job with your sculpting!

Enjoyable activity

This was a super fun experience! I would highly recommend if you want to try something more cultural. You don't often get to learn new skills, and I this activity was really beginner friendly. Would recommend to do with friends and family. I would like to also add, we were super late, but Tanaka was super understanding about it. She is overall a great instructor and friendly host. Thank you again!

Operator response

Thank you so much for your kind words! I’m glad you enjoyed the experience and felt welcome. It was a pleasure to have you join, and I hope to see you again soon!

Great activity for kids!

The instructor was very patient with the kids (6 & 8) and everything came out so cute! We made 3 different designs - owl, hedgehog, and closed umbrella.

Operator response

I was very satisfied because I could make Japanese sweets and drink authentic matcha tea.

I have never had the experience of making Japanese sweets before. I was satisfied because I was able to ask in advance what I wanted to make. Furthermore, you can drink authentic matcha green tea afterwards, so it's a great value for money.

Operator response

Thank you very much for your kind words. I am glad to hear that you enjoyed making Japanese sweets and tasting authentic matcha. I look forward to seeing you again!

Extremely fun and friendly teacher

"Seriously, the teacher was the best! So friendly and just genuinely a wonderful person! Found out they majored in English Lit at university – how cool is that?! Then we did this Nerikiri making thing, and we got to try making four types: cherry blossom, butterfly, rabbit, and young grass. It was seriously SO much fun! And of course, we took some home as souvenirs and totally enjoyed eating them later! On this day, I went to Toritsu Daigaku Station, and you won't believe it, there were still cherry blossoms around! So, just wandering around on the way back was another really nice memory!"

Operator response

Thank you so much for your kind words! I’m really glad you enjoyed the class and the nerikiri making. It was a pleasure having you, and I hope you made some wonderful memories with the cherry blossoms too!

Highly recommend neriki workshop

Our instructor Akko was amazingly patient, a fun and friendly instructor. She reached out to you beforehand to ensure you knew the location of the class and inquired if there were any specific neriki you would like to make for class. We made the seasonal motifs, which were the Mt Fuji, maple leaf and fallen autumn leaves. My siblings and I had such a great time. Highly recommend for anyone looking to take a class.
