The safety instruction and reminders you mentioned are especially important on our tours. Many of our guests have never ridden a Segway before, so we take the time to make sure everyone is comfortable and confident before heading onto the trail. Once we’re riding, our guides continue to provide reminders about spacing, turns, and trail conditions so that everyone can enjoy the experience safely. We know that level of guidance may feel different for guests with more Segway experience, but our goal is to make sure every guest, regardless of experience level, has a safe and enjoyable ride. We also appreciate your comment about group size. We generally operate with smaller groups when possible, but our group sizes can vary depending on the day. Wildlife tends to be more active on our later afternoon and evening tours. As part of the Tongass National Rainforest, rain is a natural part of the landscape and one of the reasons Juneau is so lush and beautiful. Our tours take place on North Douglas Island, which sits in a rain shadow and often experiences nicer, drier weather than other parts of Juneau. We operate rain or shine and provide the gear our guests need to stay comfortable.
