Itinerary
Your guide will personally greet you at your Jasper hotel where you will join a small group on board a comfortable minibus. As you meander slowly down the valley, you will gaze out large windows while passing stunning scenic views of the mountains and surrounding wilderness. You will visit seasonal locations, selected daily by your guide allowing you the best chances of seeing wildlife in its natural habitat. The evening is an ideal time for wildlife viewing with animals being most active in the late afternoon to dusk, so be sure to keep an eagle eye for anything that moves. Capture your memories through photographs from either inside the minibus or occasionally by a short walk at the discretion of your guide. Along the way you will discover valuable insights into the challenges of managing and protecting wildlife within the National Park. Your professional local guide will be eager to answer your questions, as they passionately share the magic of Jasper's wild side, bringing the stories of the animals to life. 95% of tours are successful at spotting wildlife. - This tour is not recommended for young children: The Wildlife Tour is typically geared more towards adults, providing educational commentary along the way. While wildlife sightings are frequent, the experience differs significantly from a zoo visit. Due to the unpredictable nature of wild animals, sightings occur intermittently during the 3-hour tour and vary from day to day. Based on our observations, young children often become restless as there are no scheduled stops on this vehicle-based tour. Therefore, we recommend a minimum age of 5 years. Although not recommended, children and infants under 5 years old are welcome, provided a seat is purchased for them at the child rate (all passengers regardless of age are required to be allocated a seat on the bus). For those bringing infants, we recommend bringing a baby carrier which can be secured with the provided seat belts on our buses.
- Jasper National Park is a wild and natural habitat. Wildlife Sightings are frequent but not guaranteed.

Fun time with a lot of animals including elk and bears. Jake was a great guide with a lot of experience and familiar with the area.
Our guide was absolutely brilliant! Knowledgeable, friendly, amusing and totally went the extra mile. We saw lots of wildlife, including things we'd never have known to look for like a wonderfully close sighting of a hoary marmot and two bald eagle chicks on a nest.
Thanks for letting us know of your successful and informative outing on our Maligne Adventures Wildlife tour. Marmots a rare sighting, but really fun to watch when you are lucky enough to spot one.
We had a fantastic time on the Sunset Wildlife Tour in Jasper! Sam was an incredible guide — so knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and genuinely keen to share his wealth of information with us. We were lucky enough to see elk, an eagle, a beaver, and the highlight of the evening: a moose and her calf! Unfortunately, we didn’t manage to spot any bears, but it certainly wasn’t for lack of trying — Sam went above and beyond to help us find as much wildlife as possible. A wonderful experience with a fantastic guide. We’d definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Jasper!
Hi Courtney, Thank you so much for your detailed account of your recent Wildlife Tour with Maligne Adventues. Sam really does have a knack for locating and interpreting the local fauna. We will be certain to pass your comments on to. him!
I was initially unsure about this tour, having a car could we not just drive around spotting wildlife ourselves. So glad we went ahead, we saw the big 3 (elk, moose and bear) which is unusual for Aug and was entirely down to our guide's expert knowledge of when and where animals were likely to be. Sam was truly excellent and the knowledge he brought from his university studies (around wildfires) enriched the tour greatly. Thank you Sam for a fantastic evening
Hello and thank you for taking the time to review your recent Wildlife tour with Maligne Adventures. It is great that Sam was able to locate a variety of wildlife, we will be certain to pass your comments on to him.
Fantastic trip with experienced driver guide, Jake. He found us a grizzly bear and positioned the minibus such that she padded past right next to us, quite extraordinary. Then as a finalé he located 3 large male elk with the most enormous antlers. And that's not to mention marmots and mule deer. Brilliant evening.

This was an amazing experience where we saw a Grizzly (with cubs), numerous elk, coyote, osprey & eagle. Kelli is extremely knowledgeable and really knows her stuff. She was very informative (in a fun way), and we learned much more than we expected about wildlife and their habitats. Thank you Kelli for an amazing experience!
Fantastic experience! but even though we saw Moose, large Elk, and other wildlife, we know it’s a bit random chance depending on the evening…..but our guide, Mukund (studying to be a professor in Ecology) , was Very knowledgeable and made the history of area, wildlife and ecology information enormously enriching experience despite animal sitings- and better yet, he knew where to go and asked the tour participants if they could extend the tour (for free) to allow him more time to get sitings of animals, which tends to be closer to sunset. It paid off, and we saw Moose, Elk, Deer all in the last 45 min of the tour when he extended things to help us, since the first 2.5 hrs we saw only a marmot and osprey.
Thank you for sharing such a thoughtful review! We’re so glad you had a fantastic experience with Mukund. Wildlife sightings are never guaranteed, so it’s wonderful to hear that his knowledge of Jasper’s history, ecology, and wildlife made the tour engaging throughout the evening. It certainly sounds like his patience and extra effort paid off with some fantastic sightings toward the end! We’ll be sure to pass along your kind words to Mukund. Thank you for joining us!
Fantastic experience with Sam our guide going out of his way to give us the best chance to see wildlife. He delivered with us seeing more than 1 moose, elks, deers and a grizzly! We were so incredibly lucky to have such a knowledgeable, passionate guide who went the extra mile for us! It was awesome

We did an evening wildlife tour with Jake. We were a little sceptical as to what we would get to see because of the weather (rain) but he really delivered! We got to spot Elk, 2 Grizzlies, a bald eagle, Beavers & cute little marmots. He was very knowledgeable & entertaining. We got awesome pictures. He even went out of his way when we unfortunately left our rental car keys on the bus to find them and drop them back to us in town after the tour had finished. Thank you Jake!!!! Highly recommended this trip

Sam was amazing. We were so lucky and saw bears, moose (including a male), and elk, amongst smaller animals. Sam was very informative about the animals but also wildfires. We learned so much and thoroughly enjoyed it. He even stayed out an hour later to ensure we got prime feeding time.
