Description

Discover the story of 9/11 with a local guide as you visit Ground Zero and pay tribute at the 9/11 Memorial Pools honoring the victims and first responders. Visit St. Paul's Chapel, which survived the attacks and became a place of hope for families searching for loved ones, and stop by the nearby fire station memorial dedicated to the bravery of first responders. Learn how the events of that day unfolded, how the memorial was created on the Twin Towers’ footprint, and see the resilient “Survivor Tree.” This leisurely walking tour also explores historic Downtown Manhattan, including Battery Park, Wall Street, Federal Hall, the New York Stock Exchange, and the Financial District, where George Washington was inaugurated as president. Upgrade your ticket for anytime entry to One World Observatory, offering panoramic views of Manhattan and New York Harbor, valid for 7 days after your tour.

Pretty Good

The guide was knowledgeable, but gave us more history of NY architecture than details regarding 9:11 — interesting and pleasant, but we bought a 9/11 tour.

Do not purchase!

The lady we had was very nice, but unfortunately that was the only positive part of this experience. I paid for tickets that were never provided to me, and when I contacted customer service, they refused to issue a refund or take responsibility for the mistake. This ended up wasting an entire day of our trip, and to make matters worse, I had to purchase tickets a second time just to enter the memorial. Paying twice for the same attraction is completely unacceptable. Save yourself the frustration, time, and money and book elsewhere.

Operator response

We are very sorry to hear about the issues you experienced during your visit and understand how frustrating it must have been to feel that you did not receive what you expected, especially after having to make additional arrangements during your trip. We always aim to provide clear information about what is included with each ticket, and we regret any confusion that may have occurred in this case. For future bookings, we kindly recommend carefully reviewing the ticket inclusions and details before purchase to ensure they match your expectations for entry and access. We appreciate your comments about your guide and are glad to hear she was kind and helpful, even though the overall experience did not meet your expectations. Your feedback will be shared with the relevant team as we continue working to improve clarity and communication for our guests. Thank you again for sharing your experience.

This is certainly not the standard we strive to uphold, and we are actively looking into what happened to ensure it doesn’t occur again.

A Place of Reflection and Respect

Visiting the 9/11 Memorial is one of those experiences that stays with you. It’s peaceful, powerful and deeply moving all at once. The design of the fountains those endless streams of water flowing into the footprints of the towers captures something words can’t really describe. It’s both heartbreaking and beautiful. Walking through the museum, you can feel how much care and respect went into preserving the stories of that day. It’s emotional, yes, but it’s also grounding a reminder of the strength and compassion that came out of such tragedy. The space itself is spotless and well-maintained, and the staff are kind and thoughtful. I’d say it’s a must visit for anyone coming to New York, not as a tourist stop, but as a place to pause, reflect, and remember.

Operator response

Thank you so much for your thoughtful and moving words. We're truly honored that your visit to the 9/11 Memorial and Museum left such a meaningful impression on you. You captured the spirit of the place so beautifully — peaceful, powerful, and deeply moving. The design of the Memorial was intended to create space for reflection, remembrance, and healing, and we're grateful that it resonated with you in such a profound way. We’re also glad to hear that you felt the care taken in preserving the stories within the museum, as well as the respect shown by our staff. Your recognition means a great deal to us. Thank you again for taking the time to share your experience — and for encouraging others to visit not just as tourists, but as witnesses to a powerful part of our shared history.
