Description

You will start your excursion by checking into our log cabin office at the Talkeetna State Airport 45 minutes prior to your flight departure. Be sure to bring your sunglasses, light jacket (in the summer) and plenty of memory on your camera.
Board our ski-equipped aircraft and enjoy your pilots' commentary about the geological history and local wildlife on your individual headset.
Continue your flight above Talkeetna and over the river systems of the Susitna valley as you enter into an incredible landscape of icefalls, glaciers and snow peaks. You'll be awed by the Great Gorge of the Ruth Glacier, filled with a 4,000 foot thick river of ice, making this one of the deepest gorges in the world. Travel further into the range to explore the seven major glaciers that blanket the southside of the Alaska Range.

Tour with Talkeetna Air Taxi
Oh my gosh...what a tremendous experience!! We were set up for a tour and the weather didn't cooperate. TAT offered us a refund or to reschedule. We rescheduled for the next day. The trip was awesome and even though weather didn't cooperate 100%, they gave us the absolute best tour that the weather would allow. We enjoyed landing on the glacier and the entire trip was worth it. Our pilot/guide was awesome (Daniel) and every staff member we interacted with was great to work with. They really were top notch! We would all highly recommend Talkeetna Air Taxi for an awesome tour!

Pretty amazing experience. The weather was perfect today for it. The views were spectacular. Landing on the glacier was a memory I'll never forget. It is on the expensive side of things, but I'm very happy I did it.

Great experience, Very enjoyable. A highlight of our trip. Staff was very helpful in rescheduling our trip due to weather issues. Seeing the mountains up close, Glacier landing qas a bonus, add in the facts and history our pilot provided all made this worth it.

Incredible!!!
One of the most amazing experiences we’ve ever been on! Luke was our guide and extremely knowledgeable and went the extra effort to really give us an unforgettable tour. He took us high and low and pointed out the glaciers and other peaks and we had great views of Denali along w other Alaska scenery! Highlight of our trip. The company was very understanding of our friend being sick and refunded her money!and our shuttle was a few min behind but they really worked w us! Thank you so much

Do NOT miss!!
This is a DO NOT MISS experience! Incredible trip to Denali with breathtaking views. Fantastic pilot, so informative and professional, took us through mountain passes, past glaciers and maneuvering so that both sides of the plane could have the same views, and landing us smoothly on a glacier with Denali in the background!! The top highlight of our trip to Alaska. Please don’t miss this!

Awesome experience!
We were fortunate to have a relatively clear weather day and enjoy a smooth plane ride and glacier landing. What an incredible once in a lifetime experience! Our pilot Miles was excellent and shared a lot of knowledge about the area, history, geography, and mountain range. Highly recommend this experience and suggest building an alternate flight day into your itinerary in the event of poor weather on your originally scheduled day.

The flight over Denali takes your breath away, the views are crazy, it was without a doubt one of the best experiences of my life. The landing on the glacier was a spectacular moment! Incredibly gorgeous!
