From Tokyo: Customized Mount Fuji Private Day Trip

We did a group day tour to Mt. Fuji and Hakone two weeks ago, and while that was pretty good, this one ended up being better because it was private and we got to do better stops such as Oishi Park, Lake Kawaguchi, Chureito Pagoda, and Mt. Fuji 5th Station. The last group tour we did only stopped at the 5th Station, some place in Gotemba for lunch, Hakone for the cable car ride, and a boat ride on a lake. Pretty good stops, but that was it. Also, that day tour had absolutely no good Mt. Fuji photo opportunity stop, which is huge (the 5th Station stop or seeing it while driving by on a bus doesn’t count). Not knocking that other day tour—like I said, we enjoyed it—but with this private day tour you have more time and opportunities to do more and even better stops with great Fuji photo opportunities, provided the weather cooperates. Unfortunately for us, due to the weather and the fact that we were coming from Kyoto, we had to start our day tour later from Tokyo at 9 am instead of 5 or 6 am, which would’ve been a much better idea. But even so, we made the most of our tour and got some pretty good captures of Mt. Fuji as well, which was our top priority! A big thank you to our driver, Mani, for the excellent job he did driving and guiding us everywhere on this tour today. So if you’re looking for a way to do a day trip to Mt. Fuji and the areas around it, definitely go with a private day tour like this. It may cost more, but it’s worth it compared to doing the group bus day tours.

We booked this trip at the last minute and it was a wonderful day. Ali arrives at the hotel right on time and we enjoyed the whole experience. He walked us in to all the places including buying tickets at the Hanoke Ropeway and then gave us time to experience places on our own. He met us when we were done so we didn’t need to remember where the car was. I’m glad we didn’t miss seeing Mount Fuji and was happy to not be on a bus.

We had a wonderful experience visiting Mount Fuji! The views were breathtaking, and the whole trip was well organized. Ali was our guide, and he was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. He made the trip enjoyable and shared interesting information about the area. Everything went smoothly, and we had a great time. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Mount Fuji!

What a day! It could hardly have been more perfect. The weather was great and the day was packed full of amazing experiences. Our guide Alex was knowledgeable and got us everywhere we hoped to and more. We absolutely give him top marks and recommend to anyone who wants to experience Mt. Fuji and the surroundings. Anyone interested in doing this tour should use his experience and advice. He suggested leaving at 6:00am rather than the scheduled 8:00am and in doing so we saved at least three hours of sitting in traffic - judging by Google maps. Alex was more than happy to pick us up at our hotel instead of the advertised pickup spot. We got to shrine overlooking the mountain, had breakfast at the Yamanakako lake overlooking Mt. Fuji, did the Ropeway with views of volcanic activity and finally a boat ride on a cruise ship before returning home. Thank you very much for a wonderful day!

This tour was great! It allowed us to see a lot in one day and some areas we did not previously know about. Our driver Malik was very friendly, flexible and accommodating. Would book with them again for a family trip.

Had a great day going to Mt Fuji with the family. Hasan was a great guide and tailored the experience to us. He had good recommendations on good photo spots and activities to do. We got great pictures of the mountain and pickup and drop off was very smooth.

Great day out with Ali, we got pretty lucky with the weather after waiting a while to pick our day! Nice comfortable car and would take us wherever we wanted to go. Cheers!
