Our purchase was simply to get a time entry. Online tickets were sold out. Very confusing meeting point and ticket pickup. Eventually connected with the tour guide to get our entry tickets. Then just joined a line for our time. The Galleria staff seemed overwhelmed too. But once in, the exhibits were fabulous. We bought the audioguides upon entering.
We only had a short afternoon window before our train out of Florence, so waiting in line was not an option. Our 2:15 PM time slot was honored instantly. We were in, saw the masterpieces, and were back out enjoying gelato on Via dei Servi in under an hour.
Fast security check, punctual entry time, and immediate access to Michelangelo's genius. Booking this timed ticket ahead of time was the single best decision we made for our Tuscany itinerary.

You simply cannot visit Florence and miss this. Standing in front of the real David is a surreal experience. The skip-the-line ticket is mandatory unless you want to waste hours of your holiday standing on the sidewalk.

We came mainly to see David at Galleria dell'Accademia, and it did not disappoint. The timed entry helped avoid crowds at the entrance, and once inside, We took our time walking around. Seeing the sculpture up close is something you can’t really explain—it’s just impressive.
