Welcome to the meeting location, the square, dedicated to the greatest Slovenian poet, that was in my opinion actually quite a rock'n'roller.
Fascinating Triple Bridge carries a beautiful story of a devestating earthquake back in 1895 and Slovenia's progressive architect Jožef Plečenik, who throughout the renovation managed to turn Ljubljana into an architecturally rich and interesting capital.
Meet a vibrant part of the city, located on a river bank, that is just bursting with locals' energy. You'll learn about how it looked like 12 years ago, what actually changed in 2010 and what kind of impact the change has on the local life.
You ever felt like butchers must be noughty guys? What a story behind this weird and fascinating bridge! Not to be missed when in Ljubljana.
Locals' favourite dontown street and I'll share with you all the reasons for it. Colorful, food - scented and ... still a locals' streeet.
Welcome to THE alternative cultural zone that has its own rules and is filled with street art, art studios, night clubs and lots of memories of mine. Fascinating and unique and a huge part of Ljubljana's local life.
All of a sudden Ljubljana is all about the dragons... until you hear the local's perspective on the hype. Putting that aside, the bridge does tell a fascinating story and is a great example of the position of our nation back in the days.
Farmers market in the city center is THE place for local life. Ljubljana is so small it really doesn't have local and touristic districts. It is all mixed and the market is a perfect example. Learn about the local products, different Slovenian regions and cuisine, and the importance of the market for the people of Ljubljana. This is also the spot where we will try the traditional Slovenian pastry, that today has an EU geographically protected status.
Get ready for a slow stroll along the oldest (and in my opinion most beautiful) part of the city, constructed in the 13th century and yet not looking typically medieval. You'll learn why the architecture of this gorgeous hart of the city center is a bit different than one would expect. We'll also discuss the evolution of the Old City in the past 30 years. Amazing!
We'll take a slow walk to the castle hill, using a sideway that is never overcrowded with people and therefore popular with Ljubljanians. We'll enjoy beautiful views and learn how close to the city bears live. We'll wrap our tour with an arrival to the Castle. The rest is up to you - you can take your time and enjoy everything the castle has to offer or you can just enjoy the views, take it easy and slowly return to the downtown.

Thank you Peter for a great walking tour around Ljubljana. You were not only a very knowledgeable guide, you were also extremely helpful! Thanks again
Bor was a wonderful tour guide. It was just our family of four including two teenage boys. He gave us a comprehensive tour of the city and answered all of our questions. Even treated us to local dessert breads. Thank you Bor!
Guided tour with Ana and Eva: It was very good, thank you.
We had a great walk round the city with Bor. His knowledge of contemporary culture combined with detail on the history of both the city and Slovenia was impressive. We saw a lot of the city, both the traditional sights and also areas we would not have found by ourselves. All of this combined with some traditional snacks and a few laughs made for a fun afternoon.
I really enjoyed this tour with Ana. I learnt a lot about Ljubljana and saw some interesting off the beaten track places. The cake at the end was delicious and not something I would have otherwise tried - for sure I’ll be buying more. Ana also shared a terrific list of restaurants, wine bars etc. by email which will come in very handy over the next couple of weeks. Highly recommended tour.
Ana’s tour was incredible! We couldn’t have asked for a better way to see Ljubljana. The small intimate format was exactly what we were looking for. Apart from being well-spoken and informative, Ana was personable and incredibly fun! She took us to places we never would have seen, and modified the tour based on things we were interested in. Anyone considering booking a tour with her should stop considering and start booking, you won’t regret it!
Anna was a wonderful guide. Her passion for Ljubljana is clear, and she provides a nice foundation to begin your own explorations of the city— with many recommendations as well! Highly recommend!
Ana is an amazing tour guide; knowledgeable about her city’s history and culture. Her style is interactive, engaging and flexible. She wanted to make sure we were getting the full experience! Can’t recommend her highly enough!
