My husband and I booked a 1-Hour Market Tour and 3-Hour Cooking Class directly with Food & Fun. Due to scheduling, the tour ended up being private - just myself and my husband. From the moment we met her, Karla was fantastic! We toured the market and met many vendors, where Karla shared her expertise in Afro-Brazilian and Bahian food, drinks, and items. We had so much fun on the market tour, until we remembered that we had a multi-hour cooking class next! After getting ingredients from the market, we went to her kitchen, where we made pao de quejio, fried shrimp, fish moqueca, and many other dishes - all while enjoying unlimited caipirinhas! She sent us home with the recipes as well. This tour is great for anyone who enjoys learning about new cultures through great food and conversation when they travel, and the price was more than reasonable for the full-day experience we had. We highly recommend this warm and inviting tour to English-speaking travelers.

Wonderful experience with Karla and her daughter Maria. They were wonderful hosts, answered all our questions, and were very hands on. Would easily recommend for any visitors who want to experience authentic dishes and escape the bustle of the city.

Karla was lovely and so welcoming! The class was fun and we were able to try a lot of Baihian home cooking (and try our hand at many combos of caiparinhas!) highly recommend taking half a day doing this class for some gastronomic tourism and then taking a long walk along the beach.
