We are so happy you enjoyed the delicious food and had a great time with our wonderful host in Salvador! Cheers! Maira from Cook in Fiesta
We had a truly unique cooking experience with Rebeca. We were welcomed so warmly and kindly, and she guided us wonderfully through each step of Brazilian cuisine. It was such a special experience that I would absolutely do again anytime. We can highly recommend it!
Welcoming you warmly and guiding you through the magic of Brazilian cuisine is exactly what Rebeca does best! We are absolutely thrilled that this was an unforgettable and special experience for you. Cheers! Maira from Cook in Fiesta
The time spent? Quality. We made delicious traditional food in an intimate setting with the caipirinhas flowing. I try to take cooking classes in every country I visit (this is number 63) and this was one if the top based on the meals you get, the quality of the instruction, freshness of the produce and the care of the host. I will be back with more friends!
Earning a top spot on your list of 63 global cooking classes is an absolute honor! Keeping the setting intimate, pouring fresh caipirinhas, and sourcing quality produce is exactly how we love to do things in Salvador. We can't wait to host you and your friends next time! Cheers! Rebeca’s class was so informational but also fun. The food is delicious and her place was so comfortable for our group of friends.
A comfortable, relaxed kitchen makes learning so much more fun for a group of friends! Rebeca loves creating that perfect balance of sharing deep culinary knowledge while ensuring everyone is having a great time. Cheers! Maira from Cook in Fiesta
Rebeca was an amazing host and so friendly. The food was so delicious, better than all the traditional restaurants we have eaten at. I fully recommend if you want a proper Brazilian experience!!
We’re so happy to hear Rebeca gave you such a memorable taste of Brazilian home cooking! Knowing the food stood out even after trying traditional restaurants makes us especially proud, and we’re glad her warmth made the experience feel genuinely local. Thank you for recommending her and Cook in Fiesta! Cheers! Maira from Cook in Fiesta
Rebeca was amazing, the food was lovely and she really showed us all the steps so well.
Thank you so much! We’re delighted Rebeca made the cooking process easy to follow and took the time to show you each step. That hands-on guidance is such an important part of the experience, especially when discovering dishes that may be completely new. We’ll be sure to share your kind words with her! 🍲 Cheers! Rebeca provided us an amazing experience in her beautiful kitchen and home. The dishes she taught us were simple and delicious! One of our friends is allergic to shrimp and she modified the recipe to accommodate our friend’s need and it was equally as delicious as the shrimp version. We learned how to make flavored rice, farofa, vegetarian and seafood moqueca, classic Brazilian salad, brigadeiros, lime and passionfruit capirinhas, cassava fries, and pirão. She also shared so many fun stories with us while we were cooking and is an amazing baker. We were so lucky she shared with us a slice of cake she made which was absolutely delicious. This was our last day in Salvador and we couldn’t have asked for a better way to end our trip. Highly recommend for anyone who wants a relaxing and fun way to experience Salvador!
Ending your trip to Salvador with a slice of cake in Rebeca's kitchen sounds absolutely perfect! She always goes out of her way to make sure everyone feels included, so adapting the moqueca for a shrimp allergy is second nature to her. We loved reading how much fun you had making everything from farofa to brigadeiros together! Cheers! Maira from Cook in Fiesta
We had such a wonderful time doing a cooking class with Rebeca! From start to finish, the experience was warm, welcoming, and genuinely special. Hands down one of the highlights of my trip. It was a truly hands-on class, which made it so much fun, we were actively involved in preparing everything and learning along the way. Rebeca was incredibly welcoming and generously opened her home to us, which made the experience feel very personal and comfortable, the class was small and intimate. She shared the recipes with us afterward, and one of our favorite things was how simple and approachable the dishes were to make while still being absolutely delicious. She was also very flexible when I mentioned I had a shrimp allergy and did not mention this at the beginning, I was very grateful for how quickly she pivoted to ensure I was also able to eat as well. The food was fantastic, the atmosphere was relaxed and fun, and Rebeca was a wonderful host. You can really tell how much care and passion she puts into both the food and the experience. Highly recommend this cooking class to anyone visiting! It’s a great way to experience amazing food, learn something new, and leave with recipes and memories you can take home with you. We would absolutely do this again!
Making these recipes approachable so you can actually recreate them at home is exactly what we aim for! Rebeca is incredibly passionate about sharing her culture, and she was more than happy to quickly pivot the menu so you could safely enjoy every single bite despite the shrimp allergy. We're so glad this was a highlight of your trip! Cheers! Maira from Cook in Fiesta
Rebeca is so lovely and personable and was a great teacher. We shared stories and laughed together and ate great food! I would highly recommend this experience to everyone!
Sharing stories and laughing over great food—that’s the true spirit of Bahia! Rebeca’s personable energy makes it feel like you're just cooking with a good friend. We're thrilled you had such a lovely time in her kitchen. Cheers! Maira from Cook in Fiesta
It was an insanely good experience. Rebeca welcomed us so warmly into her actual house and “real Brazilian” kitchen to show us and teach us how to cook moqueca, brigadeiro and many other local dishes all while accompanied by some good caipirinhas. Everyone present was lovely and we ended all eating together what we cooked - couldn’t recommend more!
Thank you for this fantastic review! What makes us especially happy is that you experienced exactly what a home-based cooking class is meant to offer: being welcomed into Rebeca’s actual home, cooking in a real Brazilian kitchen, and then sitting down together to enjoy what you prepared. Moqueca, brigadeiro, caipirinhas, and good company sound like a pretty perfect combination! We’ll be sure to share your kind words with Rebeca. Cheers! Maira from Cook in Fiesta
