We did the Bologna Gastronomic tour in Bologna with Valentina with 2 other couples/friends in our group. We had a great time of visiting the open air markets, butcher shops, bakeries and cheese shops. Along the way Valentina purchased items from each of the shops. We then went to the 561 year old (1465AD) "Osteria del Sole" for wine and to eat what she had purchased. We ended the tour at a gelato shop. Valentina was very knowledgeable about food production and Italy's strict food certifications and how to identify the various stamps. Valentina does have a tendency to speak a little quickly, because there is so much information that she wants to cover. Thus, you must pay attention. However, we all very much enjoyed the tour and would recommend it.

Description
You'll be able to experience the local way of eating and drinking in Bologna thanks to this experience. We'll take you through a gastronomic journey which will make you discover what are the hidden places that only the locals knows and that you must try! The goal is to share with you what exactly our typical day would be, the classic outing we do with our friends and family, surprising your appetite and taste buds with + 10 foods and wine tastings! We'll start with a proper typical savoury and delicious tigella! Then we will move on directly purchasing and tasting cold cuts, cheeses and breads. Experiencing the Area of Bologna with local wine in a historical location open since 1465. Then walking through the old town centre, we'll try two iconic homemade pasta in a classical Osteria Bolognese, always paired with another local wine. We will conclude with the best gelato in town!

Inflexibility with Medical Cancellations
While my wife and I couldn’t wait for our tour with Tours and the City, we unfortunately had a medical issue arise that prevented us from attending. Sadly, Tours and the City was unwilling to offer any flexibility or refund any of the amount we had paid in full, adding further stress to the difficulty of dealing with medical issues abroad.

Great food tour!
Great tour around the streets of Bologna but a local guide. The guide was raised in Bologna and gave us a very nice insight into the city. The tour included sights, secrets and delicious food.

Family tour of Bologna
We had a great time with Frederica. All locations aware great and the food and drink were amazing. We were visiting our daughter on Rome and decided to go up to Bologna for the day.

Great Food Tour

AWESOME bolognia food tour with amazing guide
Roberta was super nice and very friendly. We had a lot of fun with our group and she was very informative on the foods that we ate at. Got to try the local bolognian food and the tour also had time for us to relax and get to know the people who were on the tour with us. Would recommend our guide and the tour itself to our friends.
