Davide gave us some good history of Bologna and recommendations for future meals and things to see while in town during the tour. We tried Pignoletto and Lambrusco and a local digestive and got to know our fellow travelers. It was a fun night and an easy way to get to know Bologna!
An enjoying walk through the city. Interesting stops along the way with some nice wine. I would recommend you ask the guide to substitute limoncello vs the offering we had. The highlight was most definitely our guide, Hillary (English translation).
Ilaria brought Bologna to life and curated a lovely experience to get to see a part of the city from a historical and local point of view. The spots we stopped at to enjoy wine and digestif were lovely and it was all so seamless. And Ilaria is warm, energetic, friendly, knowledgeable and a lovely conversationalist. And helped us with a dinner reservation at a spot we wouldn’t have found ourselves that was wonderful. We would recommend this experience.
This is a good way to spend a couple of hours tasting some unusual wine and seeing a bit of Bologna.
Ilaria was a great host/guide on this tour. She was very friendly and knowledgeable and took us to three venues. The first one in the student quarter was one we wouldn't have found on our own, but it was a great place to visit and had a good vibe. The second one was in a perfect location in the main square and the third we didn't stop at as such, but just got a small herbal digestif. It was an enjoyable 90 minutes.
Lorenzo was an awesome guide. He knew the history and made it fun to learn about. He was knowledgeable about the wines and spirits we sampled. Our group was small, and I had a great time sipping through Bologna with them. I would highly recommend this tour to start off a night on the town.
