Architect-Led Westminster Walking Tour Stones of Power

This was a great overview of the area from Westminster and Parliament to Buckingham Palace with a focus on the history of the architecture. Our total trip was limited to only a few days, so this tour was a great way to see many buildings and learn about the architectural history, which I was specifically interested in. Samantha was a very knowledgeable guide and I appreciated her visual guide to show the insides of buildings we were not going to have time to visit. I liked the small size of our tour and the specific theme it offered. It was nice to walk in a small group in such a busy area and have the information feel a little more tailored to our interests.

Samantha is an experienced architect and also super knowledgable about the history of the various sites that we visited. She moved at a pace that worked for me. I shared with her early in the tour what my specific interest was in taking the tour, and she shaped the tour to meet my needs. We were able to have dialogue throughout which I appreciated.

Samantha’s walking tour was a highlight of my time in London. Her enthusiasm, knowledge and love of Westminster and architecture were excellent. She punctuated the illuminating description of the beautiful architecture of London's famed buildings with fascinating historical context, and charming anecdotes. This small tour was so much more personal than some of the more hectic, larger tours I have experienced. The length of the tour was just enough not to be tiring but long enough to learn and enjoy a great deal. Ending the tour in time to see the changing of the guard at Buckingham palace was a bonus. I would highly recommend this tour to visitors and Londoners alike!
